Interesting to hear on espn radio that apparently Ben was upset because of an exchange of words between Pouncey and Haley. They continued to say something went down with Troy and Foote at halftime. Are they sh!tting us.....

So ESPN said that Troy and Foote had words with eachother? I could see Haley getting in to it with guys for sure. He's done that his whole career. But for Troy and Foote to get in to it that's pretty crazy. Foote didn't have a lot of room to talk in my opinion. I remember he got a sack but I also remember he got drug down the field by his face by Murray as well.

Wow!!! How did this get past Ben and his bathroom door body guards?

    Hahahahaha.... just flaming.

But, in all seriousness this guy might be right here. He has articulated what's been in the back of my mind except for one issue. We don't need Ben to get any better. He's plenty good enough already (except for that INT he's always good for) to get another one or two if this team irons out what are seemingly glaring and relatively easy fixes as far as I can see.

Maybe but hard to criticize Foote too much. He's one of the few players on the team this year who has performed well week in and week out.

He's only playing well because of his position in the 3-4. Put me in his spot and I'll get plenty of tackles too, it doesn't mean I'm playing well. Foote is a pretty mediocre player.

As for him and Troy having words, wouldn't surprise me. Losing makes everything worse and causes frustration among everybody. Teammates tend to get into it with each other when losing becomes a common theme, and it's even worse when the team isn't playing well even during its wins. Regardless of whether we get into the playoffs or not, there's some big problems on this team that need to be addressed during the off season.

I think it's time for Lebeau to go. We need some new blood in there as the DC. Woodley, Harrison and Hampton need to go. Even if we don't have anyone that can step in and shine, those guys aren't doing much of anything so at the very least we should rid ourselves of their salary. I think it's also time for Keisel to either leave or take a back seat and lets see what we have with some of our young guys. I would personally like to switch to a 4-3 and let Hood do what he does best, rush the passer.

We either need to sign or draft a RB, because Dwyer and Redman will not get the job done. They have no big play ability. The 3 yards and a cloud of dust style of play is long dead. We need a big play RB.

The ST coach needs to be put on notice. All the players need to be put on notice that if they show up out of shape ever again, they will immediately be suspended for x number of games. Fumbles will not be tolerated. Either hang onto the ball or you don't play, period. Ben needs to be told to get in the damn film room and learn how to play the position without resorting to backyard football. The Oline needs to work on technique so they aren't always tripping over each other.

That's just a start. I'm sure there's lots more issues

I'm a big fan of Roethlisberger but him throwing Haley under the bus just shows his complete immaturity. Him saying that the played called when he scored the TD with Heath being the wrong call for that defense is a prime example of what not to air to the media. This crap needs to stay in house and discussed during and ONLY during team meetings.

GOOD!!! They need to be holding each other accountable for these pathetic performances!!!

This will result in one of two things. They will either get fired up and finish with a flurry OR they will completely fall apart, Tomlin will lose control and they will lose their last two games!

Granted he's not pro bowl material but my point was he's been solid at doing what he's supposed to do which is more than you can say about a lot of other players on the team right now.

People, Ben R is probably one of the most gifted athletes in the NFL.
He can do it all. Have you ever seen him play basketball, golf? He is a NATURAL, God has
touched him more with natural talent than should be aloud.
What I was HOPING is that Todd Haley could get him into the film room, work
on his mechanics, things that would take him to the Peyton level.Well as I stated
in this same thread above, it is hard to change a leopards spots. Ben had free rein with BA
he does not with Todd Haley, Todd Haley will probably get fired because of Ben R.
and a poor OL. Franchise players run more coaches off than people believe. So if
you see Todd Haley exit after next year you will know why. #7 runs this team.

I wouldn't be so sure Ben can run him out of town. They fired BA against his wishes, and didn't once consult him on the search for the new OC. That said, Ben was flourishing in Haleys system, I don't think there is nearly the tension that the media and some fans think there is.

the number of tackles does not tell the story dwins. farrior could make a stop in the hole and somewhat defend the pass. neither is a stregnth of foote. he's the designated run stuffer. to many assists. to many yards after contact. to many plays they run by him because he takes himself out of plays. not the way the position is meant to be played. it hasen't changed for foote. this is the same problems he has always had. he gets caught in the wash way to much.

If you listen to the whole post game interview with Ben it doesn't really sound that bad at all...I think this is all media created.

I'm a little shocked if Foote and Troy got into it, but I'm sure during the game there are lost of heated discussions.

Ben is on this team for one reason only, to throw the damn ball. Run the play that's called by your coach and shut up. He's no Peyton, he can't call the plays and run them too.

He's apologized to Tomlin, Hailey and Rooney for the comments so hopefully the media can move on now to REAL football news. This was all much to do about absolutely nothing. Knowing Ben's ego and Hailey's temper if there was a real problem between these two we would have seen them going toe to toe on the sidelines long ago. This was a non-story from the start.
