The AB trade…4 years later

I will always believe that Tomlin exacerbated that situation by allowing two sets of rules, which included Ben having different rules. That should have been nipped in the arse right away and never allowed to happen. I remember telling my brother I had a bad feeling when he was in that interview and said "Young Money", I think it was him and Wallace. Never thought it would go that badly but I had Terrell Owens in my mind at that time. I'm truly hoping that Pickens doesn't end the same way.

 

That's the " bad " with a Buddy Buddy players Coach like Tomlin...

The " good ", is players like you, They WANT to play for you...

The " Bad "...A**holes like AB ( and he's not the only one ) need reigned it, held accountable, put on a leash...

Obviously I wasn't there, But the more laid back, Tomlin style will sometimes let Clowns like AB to keep pushing the envelope

 

I agree, but I understand why Tomlin showed weakness there with how well Ben and Brown played together.

I think the contract and special treatment had something to do with it, but I think he does have CTE. Watch interviews before the golden mustache and he would do actually a pretty good job presenting himself.

Now he's off the rails heading toward a dark place. At this point, I just hope he gets the mental help he needs. He's not on a good path.

It's obvious a good deal for the trade but with a sane and sober Brown we could have asked for multiple 1st round picks. Blonde mustache Brown trashing his QB not so much

 

I went back and watched some early interviews and you are right. Happiness in his eyes, etc but I do think back to Ryan Clarks statement after the contract about the real Brown coming out. Maybe it was all an act by him but I think when these guys have sunshine blown up their arse most of their lives it doesn't make you humble. The money corrupts so many of these guys into thinking they can do what they want. Sad I really think had Tomlin reigned in Ben too perhaps this team could have accomplished more. How Ben ever thought it was a good idea to host a podcast where he called out his current teammates as if he had a perfect QB rating every game. Dumb and Tomlin and Rooney should have shut that idea down immediately. All water under the bridge at this point but I have a bad feeling AB either ends up dead or in jail and that is very sad.

 

I mean for 8 years it was, his 9th year with the Steelers is when his loose screw fell out.
