    DL Heyward
    DL Larry O
    OLB Watt
    OLB Highsmith
    ILB Holcomb/Kwon
    ILB Roberts/Kwon
    CB PP
    CB Wallace
    Nickel JPJ
    SS Kazee/Neal (Dime)
    FS Minkah

    Rotational DL Adams Benton Leal

Corner and ILB are the two areas that I’m most concerned about.

With corner I'd put King at slot and on 3rd down JPJ goes to the outside with Peterson going to the slot. That's how it seemed explained all Sumner and camp. And I think we'll see Benton, especially on early downs and probably short yardage situations. Otherwise this seems bout right.

Did they really already know what the CB unit positional alignment was gonna be at camp? Seems like a lot was still to be determined by that point. King was a late addition to camp. I think the CB setup is still pretty liquid depending on how each CB plays.

I thought Benton was the standard NT in our base alignment?

Benton is a rookie and will certainly get opportunities and playing time possible up to 50%

Rumor was going around they tried to trade Adams

I could see Benton being first next year and Fehoko second

Actually he is buried behind Pierre at RCB. I think mostly because he signed so late. I would imagine he will dress for SF, unless they feel is just is not up to par, but 1/2 of king is probably better than 100% of Pierre, lol.

Ogunjobi sounded optimistic Monday when asked how he feels heading into the Steelers’ opener Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers.

“Good, excited,” Ogunjobi said. “I’m just excited.”

Official injury report comes out later today

Outside of about 4-5 players.....I believe this will be very fluid, and flexible at least in the 1st 4 games.

TBH I am more concerned with SS than I am with ILB. We have 3 competent players in that position and a young guy with promise. I know it wont be without some level of uncertainty until we see them in a game that matters, but I have high confidence that we should be solid at the very least up the middle.

Was just gonna say that...I, and most assuredly the Steelers are high on King...He reminds me of a prime DeShea Townsend...

    And if he's that...Look out

    I I also really like Elijah Riley...But I'm guessing he's a year away yet

I hope it's not a repeat of 2022 with Larry O, with him having to miss practice with that foot injury.

If Larry can’t go we have Adams, Leal, Benton. This DL is nice.

I am pretty sure Fehoko is on the practice squad.

Although with Larry-O out, he may be one of the 2 practice squad players the Steelers can activate for Game day.

PS players can be activated on game day before the team announces their inactives (90 minutes before game time). The player doesn’t have to be elevated from the PS to the main roster for the move. This can happen with up to two practice squad players per week. A player is now able to be elevated three times per season.
