Sorry to see Green go. But he certainly wasn't playing like a 3rd choice. I'm hoping he finds that talent and succeeds

    1. We are not talking about lots of players.
    2. I don't claim to know the Texans thought process. The Texans could find a "player" anywhere. Ask yourself if you would give up a 6th round pick for Green? Obviously, the Texans believe that Green can develop into a better player.

    3. It's not always about starting but giving more time to develop.

Maybe the Steelers would had kept Green if the Texans were not willing to trade for him? Who knows?

I am not concerned about the money. I am simply a fan that doesn't not control the money flow of a billion dollar franchise.

Green might recircle around and become a Steeler again? Maybe the decision will come back to haunt the Steelers? Maybe Green develops into a HOF caliber player? Maybe Green is out of the NFL after this season? Who knows?

What we know is that a team was willing to give up a 6th round pick for Green. That means Green had value to a team.

The Steelers could had drafted "what player" after Green in the 3rd round?

I believe the Steelers would had preferred Green developed into the player that they believe he could become instead of trading him for a 6th round pick today.

Maybe the Texans should put down the crack pipe?

There are other football leagues where players can refine their skills when NFL teams give up. Arena, USFL, or Canadian. It's not the NFL but NFL "people" follow the talent in those leagues.

If he wasnt going to be able to anchor himself his rookie year then he wasn't going to be able to anchor himself this year or any year afterward. Defensive lineman aren't getting smaller or weaker. Their throwing him in there his rookie year or later would have made no difference.

There have been a few who did really well from some of those leagues, a few more even made it to the NFL, but the % of those that do not even get invited to an nfl camp has to be around 98% or higher, we invited a couple this year from both leagues..they did not make it, of the hundreds that play each year in those leagues, a few come to an NFL camp, less make the cut..please stop your arguments before you get called Benny Lava Jr.

It takes time for players to develop. How long it takes for players to develop is up to the player and the people involved with the NFL teams.

If you were in one of the players in other leagues would you give up hope or would you continue to compete?

Your mentality is loser mentality to me. I've only succeeded in life because I don't have your mentality.

there were 90 guys in every camp, of course if given the opportunity they will follow the light. That is until the light dims, for some like Ed O'neill it lasted till he was cut, offered a possible opportunity with another team he said Nah, I want to learn to act and be remembered as the greatest HS football player ever. Monte Pottebaum lasted a few days in camp and called it quits. it is a dream, but few make it, even less become stars.

Bro. Admit it. "you have the loser mentality". My mentality is that every Steelers draft pick is given the chance to succeed regardless of the round or years it takes to become NFL caliber players.

I've seen it in the past. I've seen it today. One teams trash is another team's treasure. Draft, FA, ect.....

The Pats let Brady go and............. What happened?

The loser mentality??? have you seen the list of recent steeler players drafted that have been let go, not only by us..but other teams? of course they are given the chance to succeed, but sometimes mistakes happen, Kendrick Green was one. i do not blame the kid, he was taken as a C when he had hardly ever played, he sucked. The next year he was given the chance to play G, he never dressed for a season game..and that line was not real great. This year he was given another chance, he looked bad against other 2nd and 3rd team players. Maybe he needs a fresh start to prove to himself how much he sucks, Houston is a great place because they all suck.

Your wording is "loser mentality". IMO, you have the loser mentality.

Let me put this a different way for you. Can you or could you compete in your past life at the NFL level at any position?

Everyone would have preferred that Green worked out. The point is, he didn’t. He was so awful that Will Smith was going to be dissecting Kenny Pickett’s brain before long.
He afforded less protection than a dollar store condom or a Russian Covid vaccine.

Depends on the level of the stadium I am seated. Lower level is more food based, there I am your basic hog I can go all night long, higher levels are beer based, in my younger days I was all pro, now i am more special teams. By the way, for the first time I am blocking someone...simply put, you are a complete moron.

Quad I get it. He didn't work out as the Steelers expected. He wasn't awful. He had his good moments and bad moments. Consistency was lacking. Green's athleticism at a man of his size was enticing.

He will have an opportunity to extend his career as an Uber driver, as soon as better players become available to the Texans.

Trading a 3rd round pick for a 6th round pick is not a win. I don't care how You look at it. It was a miss, and handled badly. For a dang 3rd round pick You should at least get a backup for the team.
That would be like saying You spent 40 thousand on a truck, and decided You didn't like it anymore after 2 years , and instead of putting in the garage....You sold it for 10 thousand dollars, and You think that was a win.
