Anyone else get their notice about a pending Class Action Suit against the NFL and all 32 Teams re: Sunday Ticket which is claimed to have "suppressed competition of sale of NFL game telecasts", a violation of The Sherman Act. This may be what we (many of us) have all been waiting/asking for now that YouTube has taken over with the same price-gouging practices of not providing partial/preferred team (like the Steelers) subscriptions. It's apparently just getting started and will probably take some time before any compensation is dished out and in what form. Hoping this shakes this whole matter up a great deal so that the consumers (aka broke di_ks) can have a choice. IMHO, it got a lot worse when ATT took over DTV and discontinued any negotiated price levels (and other goodies) to long standing customers of DTV and Sunday Ticket. Jurisprudence I say! :thumbs up:

EDIT: I didn't add this as a post to the previous YouTube Sunday Ticket thread because so far this only deals with DTV's version of Sunday Ticket subscriptions between 2011 to 2023. Hoping it gets YouTube's attention or they are also brought into the fray.

Thanks for the info. Something to keep an eye on. I'm interested to see how Sunday ticket will work through YouTube. I like YouTube TV after the switch from DirecTV but it does get glitchy sometimes and you have to shut the whole TV down and restart it. Can't wait for that to happen right in the middle of a 2-minute drive in an important game.

Somehow the NFL prevails, lol. Remember when the USFL sued...and actually won, all of $1 dollar.

What people don't seem to understand with streaming....is they are slowly making it were You will have to have a different streaming service for every different thing. Remember when everything You wanted to watch was all on one place.....well bye bye....bye bye to that, but people bought into it...so no stopping now.

Unfortunately true. Buyers remorse is a hell of a thing. We're going to realize how much better/cheaper it was having 600 channels we don't watch as opposed to buying this app and 7 other apps.

I'm still paying less for Hulu, Paramount, Netflix, HBO, Peacock, Apple, Amazon Prime and Disney on my Roku....than I did for DirecTV.

I somehow got that Johnstown channel in Clairton and then had 22, 40, and 53 on top of the 4 you mentioned. Fun times using a hanger as a antenna.

So true and 99% of what is on streaming services I've seen before. I'd say Netflix is the best followed by MAX.

All of my apps are on my Roku, so it is in one place. Hell... I even have Apple Music and SiriusXM apps on my Roku.

Roku and streaming apps is a million times better than Satellite TV and Cable TV. And it's a lot cheaper. And I actually have MORE channels for less money.

I'll have to look into this "Roku". I like the idea of one stop shopping.

I also use a Google Chromecast (same concept as Roku) when traveling. I can cast all of my apps from my Android phone to Chromecast/HDTV. Rokus and Chromecasts are not expensive... can be had for $40 on Amazon.

Growing up in rural Northwest, PA. I lived in an Erie, PA market for my local channels, which is a Bills Market. So often you only got the Steelers if the Bills weren't in the same slot of didn't sell out then they would black them out.

We (my parents) got Sunday ticket when it 1st came out. We had a Russian Satellite dish in the back yard. You used to have to punch all these different coordinates on it like you were calling Bingo at the local fire dept. to get certain channels and the thing would actually tilt and move. Fun times.. iI was like I had a Military Scud Missle installation at my house. My friends that I grew up without the possibility of cable in the rural area's for their houses, thought it was awesome I could get like 100 Channels and they had like 5 on an antenna with aluminum foil and their grandma holding it up on the roof.

Then Sunday ticket got gobbled up by Direct TV, and then we had to switch over to that. Then just like USSR the Russian satellite dish came down and got thrown in the woods, but it made one hell of fun sled to drag behind an Snowmobile in the winter time with a foot of snow. Yeah we even used to get snow back in those days too. Then we just had a normal size dish like you see today still at some homes. Although that is a dying thing as well.

FUN TIMES and times they are a changing.....

Ive had YouTube TV since 2020 when I cut the cable cord with Covid and no sports. Not only is your point valid but the other issue with streaming is the delay, it can be 30-45 seconds behind! Sucks if you are live posting or texting with friends.
