Steelers will lay an egg , just wait. It will be the end of the season, Tomlin sucks and Pickens has a bad attitude etc. I have seen this before on opening days.

Kwon Alexander should be able to snuff the running part out.

The niners have a balanced team so it won't be a walk in the park. Need to jump on them early and get a cushion.

Kyle Shanahan will be super conservative early season as he always is. Probably only see 25% of the playbook. If this was week 11 I think we would get an ass beating in week 1 we got a shot.

NFC South always seems to suck but, strangely, they have more SB appearances than the AFC North in last 10 years (Matt Ryan's Falcons, Brady's Bucs and Cam's Panthers). The Bucs were only there due to presence of Brady and Gronk. Matt Ryan had a spark for a couple years. And Cam Newton was an absolute force of nature (but only for about 4 years). Ryan and Newton had epic slides from grace.

I think it's time for the AFC North to dominate. Mahomes will keep KC competitive but I don't see them being a dynasty. Philly will dominate the NFC but I don't see competition for them. And Josh Allen will have to modify his game to get longevity. No scramble and run QB excels for long periods. They switch up like Randall Cunningham, Mike Vick and Steve Young or they fall off like RGIII, Cam Newton and Kordell.

Kansas City is already a dynasty. Winning two and being in three in the past four years is a dynasty in today's sports landscape. The Steelers are finally poised to make an attempt to challenge Kansas City, but what we saw in preseason needs to be duplicated every week vs. their next opponent's starters.

I think the 49ers are a for real team given the talent on both sides of the ball.

But often teams that are touted as really good fall flat in the 1st week.

You could look at when we played Buffalo in 2021 and the Bengals in 2022 as prime examples of that.

I think with the Bosa deal still not done, and he missed all of camp over his deal.

You wonder how Brock Purdy will play.

I like the Steelers chances in it. Steelers have a pretty good track record in Home Openers as well so there is that.

Rattle Purdy, score points, Steelers can win it. There are teams I fear a heck of lot more.

Tickets for this one are going for a big dollar. Over $200 for 500 level tickets for a seat.

I'm guessing its because 49ers got a good base of fans, only come around every 8 years, and its the 1st week 1 home opener for the Steelers in like 8 or 9 years.

I'll have to watch 49ers vs. Steelers on NFL+. Local Fox station is showing Panthers vs. Falcons.

Damn Comcast let's me fast forward to see that FOX and CBS will have 1:00 games in my area but they don't list the teams. Hope Eagles don't have a 1:00 game.

Plus early season games are always higher priced

A lot of band wagon fans won’t go when the weather turns

I have friends I won’t even invite anymore to any games because they complained about being invited to preseason games and declined any game after October because they would “rather sit on my couch where it’s warm”

If the game was at San Francisco... yeah, the Steelers could have laid an egg. But I don't see them laying an egg at home. Key matchup will be Steelers O-line/TE/RBs vs. 49ers front 7 D. If the O-line can give Pickett time.... Steelers chances are good. If not, it's gonna be a long day.

No but no way he will be in football shape in week 1.Even his GM(John Lynch) said the other time he needed at least 3 weeks to be ready for the season

As much as I would like you to be right, seems like wishful thinking and I'll believe it when I see it.
