    Hey guy if you are still on board, feel free to make a pick in the Steeler Prediction Poll.

    I think at least 2 members are going to be at the Raven beat down game. Enjoy the win!!!!

    My son moved to Louisiana after graduating and pretty much didn't talk for the first year there. He got his ass kicked on his accent. He has lived there now for 30 years and his voice really changed.

    I was born and raised in the Burgh but lived majority of my life in Philly speaking area and to this day people still will catch something I say and ask if I'm a Burgh boy. Things that took me so long to stop saying:

    Gumband = rubber band (I took a lot of crap on this one.

    Dun = down

    Yinz guys = you guys (oh the crap I took for that)

    Hass = house (wife says I still revert back when a tad bit buzzed)

    Pop = soda (took a good 10 years to stop this one)

    Thanks again! I get on these forums daily to read about my favorite team and when I read about the fireworks I thought who better than to ask the people who would know best. This is my fourth time seeing them in person! Second home game. Luckily when I went the first time it was a day game and no fireworks. This is something that I have dealt with most of my life, and hearing your support has put most of my anxiety to rest. Here we go!

    I know, I too find it cool. I read a lot of fiction novels and a few British writers. I actually now say "queue" now instead of line. Funny to watch young people wonder what to do when I say lets queue people:) Give credit to the word "loo" it's much shorter then bathroom. The toast with beans, England can keep to itself. And mother f---ing "tea" can mean everything but tea. One book they had pizza for tea.

    All my relatives in Western PA like to throw an r in the middle of my name where there isn't one basically Jorsh but then talk about my North Dakota twang. There isn't a ND twang but they believe it.

    Everywhere I have ever lived has a different type of speaking, and things they say. I have always found it curious how it happens, and it's not just north, and south....for instance people in Chicago don't sound like people in Pittsburgh, or Boston. People in Arkansas don't sound like Louisiana, or Texas. It's crazy, but cool

    I was there with a northern friend and he kept saying listen to their accent listen to their accent

    Finally I told him they didn’t have an accent we did

    We were in their territory

    At first I thought this
    In western Pa. anyone with the name of Kyle has it pronounced Cow. Such as "Hey Cow, jeet?" "Lesgo dahn souside to the Jint Iggle deli and git sum jumbo sammiches n'at".
