The Colts have allowed Taylor to seek a trade. How about offering Najee + Diontae for Taylor straight up?

    https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/38235314/sources-colts-grant-rb-jonathan-taylor-ok-seek-trade

Before you call me crazy look at the stats. JT is actually younger than NH and gets you 1.2 ypc more, about 25 yards more rushing per game and 0.26 more TDs per game.

Taylor: 5'10, 226 pounds. 24 years old. 3 NFL seasons:
    2020: 232 carries, 1169 yards, 5.0 ypc, 11 TD, 299 rec yards, 1 TD [15 games played]
    2021: 332 carries, 1,811 yards, 5.5 ypc, 18 TDs, 360 rec yards, 2 TD [17 games played]
2022: 192 carries, 861 yards, 4.5 ypc, 4 TD, 143 rec yards [he was injured this year and only played 11 games)

    Career ypc: 5.1
Avg ypg: 89.3 rushing, 18.6 receiving
    Avg TDs per game: 0.837

Harris: 6'1, 242 pounds. 25 years old. 2 NFL seasons:
    2021: 307 carries, 1,200 yards, 3.9 ypc, 7 TD, 467 rec yards, 3 TD [played 17 games]
    2022: 272 carries, 1,034 yards, 3.8 ypc, 7 TD, 229 rec yards, 3 TD [played 17 games]

    Career ypc: 3.9
Avg ypg: 65.7 rushing, 20.4 receiving
    Avg TDs per game: 0.58

    Lol. How about no?

RBs have next to 0 value - especially when they're looking for lucrative new deals. Taylor is going to be sadly disappointed wherever he winds up.

Taylor is a great weapon but the price for a one year rental on another blade of a Swiss army knife will be steep and not worth the return.

If you were to ask me who was better Najee Harris or Jonathan Taylor, I would probably say Taylor. But I like the Thunder and Lightning thing they got going on right now with Harris and Warren. I think the two have different styles that compliment each other very well and make it more difficult for defenses when playing against different style runners on the same team. The different skill sets also gives flexibility when facing opponents so they can give Warren more touches when he is a tougher matchup for defenses.

I say no. Keep Najee and Warren together and take advantage of Najee's rookie contract and fifth year option if they choose to use it. Taylor will cost more money because he will immediately want a new contract.

I like this trade better. Let's trade Benny to the Slippery Rock School district for a middle schooler to be named later.

Taylor ran for a team with an average-to-good OL.
    Harris behind a weak OL.

Not clear how much of the difference in stats is due to the player, rather than the team.
(What would their stats look like if they had swapped teams?)

EDIT: NFL.com just released an article with Maurice Jones-Drew giving his ranking of RBs.
He had Taylor at 8, and Harris at 10.

Colts fans would absolutely celebrate this move to no end. They would probably pony up for 2 limousines to pick up DJ and Najee and also kick up money for a cab out of town for JT. The deal would be so bad that experts heads would be exploding while wondering who took over the ownership of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Oh' I mean Welcome back Benny.

He can want $16 mil/yr, but he ain’t gettin it. No RB is. If Jim Brown in his prime was a free agent in todays game, he wouldn’t get $16 mil,

Taylor also has been injured more than Najee, and he's looking to get paid, not interested.
