I predict a great season for him... some issues he had last year was his fault like running backwards but what really didn't help was the lack of practice he had with Pickett last year....I think the chemistry between him and Pickett is going to be much much better!!

I hope it stays quiet. Potential is there for the WR group and TE group to flourish.

TBH, I worry about Mr. Tomlin and his handling of the super egos these guys have. I worry about Pickens and DJ not keeping their heads together during games. I never really worried about crap like this until AB and LB soured the hell out of me.

To the Alex guy, I too stood in hot humid air for so damn long to take a picture at the buoy in Key West so I could say I was at the furthest point south, but it's a lie. The big ass Naval spy dome is the furthest point south in our country.

It was impossible to control AB at the end...I mean look at what happened for AB with the raiders and bucs...Tomlin did the best he could to control AB for 9 seasons, it's just at the end AB was in another level. For Bell, his problems were mainly because of his contract, so I don't think Tomlin could do anything about that.

DJ is better than his performance last season and I think he will bounce back. He and Pickens have the potential to be a very good WR duo

Well Tomlin did keep AB in check for 8 years. I don’t see the bell and brown scenarios as remotely similar. AB lost his freaking mind and Bell took the money.

His efficiency dropped big time last year and he had 0 TD after 7 TD in 2020 and 8 in 2021

I also believe he will have his best season of his career... If Pickett becomes a very good QB, he will be the best QB Johnson has had in his career, since Ben was very limited in his last 2 seasons

He has already shown that he can play better than he did last year. Any player can have a down year

A big issue was how he always seemed to turn back for the catch, move backwards then try and turn.

I put that partly on him, partly on Pickett’s development and partly on Canada’s route tree. The first two have shown improvement so far… let’s see what Canada does with it.

This offense has an opportunity to really have a monster season with how much talent it has but it will all come down to how Canada and Pickett perform. No way DJ has another down season like he did last year barring any injury. One thing is for sure they cannot continue to drain the defense with constant 3 and outs again. Defense did it's job when Watt was playing but the offense usually put them right back on the field. That needs to change or we won't sniff the playoffs.

Be prepared to be disappointed. The WR position is littered with divas and headcases. It kinda comes with the territory of being a WR in the social media age. This will only get worse over time, not better.... and it is FAR from only being a Steelers issue.

You hit the nail on the head saying those dreaded words, "social media age". I understand to be at the professional level in any sport you have to have some cocky in you but you are right that WR seem to dominate in that area.

First TD I ever saw was in the 60's and the QB and receiver shook hands and went back to sidelines.

The Pickett part is definite. Kenny said that on Ben's Footballin.
Kenny said he liked comeback and curls.

The first player that I can remember that did an end zone celebration was Billy "White Shoes" Johnson for the Oilers.

If Kenny can get throw to him as he comes out of of his breaks instead of after, I expect big things from DJ and the offense in general. They're working on it.

I expect a solid year from DJ. I expect 1,000+ yards and at least 5 TDs. Everything I’ve read about DJ in camp this year suggests that he and Pickett have great chemistry. Vs. the Bucs in preseason game 1 he had 3 catches in one drive. My biggest concern with DJ is that his limited drops seem to come in key moments - yeah, I’m still a bit burned up by him killing 2 consecutive drives with 3 rd down drops in the playoff game in KC.

    No he did not

I’m guessing parents don’t want their kids going to a youth camp to learn to run backwards

Najee Harris did do the youth camp this summer

Only if they are DBs. I still split My 4 miles run half, and half. 2 forward 2 backwards.
