Nobody is celebrating his injury, but his Injury history has dated back to High School. Are we not allowed to bring up facts now?

I hate that. I was looking forward to seeing what he could do. I guess the market is correct more often than not and the market value for Trice was the 7th round based on his injury history. It just seems that some guys are iron men and others are perpetually injury prone. Unfortunately, it seems Trice is the latter.

His career is over before it started as far as football.

7th round. Unfortunate but we move forward and hope nobody else falls.

Well that is too bad... hopefully he can rehab and come back again next season.

But seems this guy can't avoid the injuries.. seems to be his biggest downfall

I didn't expect to see much of him this season, but it still really sucks to see this happen and certainly makes it difficult to count on getting anything from him long term.

Not what I was saying to STD. He clicked 'winner" in OP original post. It was just odd to me. Usually winner is clicked for good things.

Notice how every poster is upset by the guys injury and you clicked "winner". I found that odd but best guess is you mean the OP is a winner for posting the info.:shrug:

I hope I don't get to much hate for this question.

This means he made the 2023 team right. His 2023 contract is fully guaranteed and the Steelers are not able to cut him in 2023, and he will be back for 2024. I am not sure if the team is allowed to cut someone on IR; I don't think he is going to count against the 53 man roster being on IR. Can you cut an Injured player you put on IR and void his contract, so the team does not have to pay his salary?

I know people are disappointed, but he was a 7th round draft pick fighting for a 53-man roster spot hoping not to get cut, and see his contract go up in smoke. Spencer Anderson, the other Steeler 7th round draft pick is probably going to be cut, and then placed on the practice squad making $8,000 per week. Not to see the 4 year $3.8 million of his rookie contract with a Salary of $750,000 this year.

I hope I don't have to explain my Winner tag. It'll be like explaining Inception after watching it the first time.

Teams can come to an injury settlement with a player, but only if they want to lose him going forward. I would be a little surprised if they did that with Trice. Not all seventh-round picks are created equal.

They'll 100% help him rehab and give him another chance to prove himself since he was already showing promise. This is a top shelf franchise, unlike so many.

So his future in football isn't looking all that great at this point. I think the Steelers will release him when he's healed.
