Kenny Pickett Believes He’ll Have Input In Gameplan During Season

As would be expected in his second year

 

It is funny that Matt Canada does not get any credit for the way the Steelers played down the stretch of last year. Once Canada could start working with Kenny as the Steelers starting QB, the offense improved as Canada adjusted his playbook to Kenny's skillset.

This will be the first offseason that Matt Canada can work with Kenny in designing an offense around Pickett from the very start of training camp. There is just so much Bashing of Matt Canada out there right now it is completely crazy. With all the Hate out there it is hard not to want to get on the Matt Canada bandwagon, and hopefully watch all these media experts out there eat some crow this year.

And yes, DK sports I am talking about you!!! Watching the Ramon Foster show, DK constantly goes out of his way to bash Canada as often as he can.



For me it was pretty obvious after those Two 3-Int games, someone had set Kenny down and told him to start throwing the ball out of bounds if his primary targets were covered. Matt Canada?

 

Players have to play the game whatever the gameplan is. Execution of the play is #1.

That said, the plays called last season were both predictable and basic.

This could be the thing that gets Canada to go bye bye. Because if players do a players only meeting or if they see Kenny doing plays that are longer.
