    My dear, dear Steeler Nation,

We mourn on this Sunday. As fans nothing hurts more than a close game against a hated rival. We mourn this week as we return to face our lives and face the harsh judgement and ridicule of our peers. As a community, I call you to come together here to support each other.

Instead of starting to play the blame game, instead of looking towards off-season prospects, we all need to grieve this loss and bolster ourselves with Nation Pride. We talk alot about the team not playing with any fire, the coaches not doing their jobs right, what have you; We need to come together to strengthen our faith in the Steelers and propel them to Victory next week instead of venting our anger and frustration and taking it out on the team that needs us so.

We need to be there for each other as we deal with the possibility of another failed season, an early overtime loss, the possibility of being one and done. If we dwell on the negatives, if we blame the team, if we criticize each other, we're sunk. We have to remember what it means to believe in the power of fandom and believe in the strength of our players.

Falling apart after something like this doesn't suit us. It hurts our reputation to be bitter, to be angry, however justified it might be. I believe in my Steelers like I believe in all of you in Steeler Nation to cheer with me as we face a tough time.

So I ask you, this week, to pull together and bolster our pride in our team and to spread the faith that this team has what it takes to pull it together here late. If they can't find the fire themselves, we have to give it to them. Instead of putting all the blame on them we can support them and give them the inspiration to win it all for us.

As hard as it is, to deal with where we are and how we've been playing: We have to be there for each other. Now more than ever.

I believe in this Steelers Team next week against the Bungles. I Believe in this Steelers team in the playoffs, with the troubles we've faced, We can take on the world.

    Do you?

    :swordsman:

I always believe. Until we're mathematically eliminated. I won't take a bunch of crap tomorrow as the Choker's were, mercifully, eliminated today and that makes my day a little bit better!

I see out there among you, the if's and the but's and the how's and the why's. It hurts, we're all in pain right now.

Surprise for you though guys, we've been in pain all season. The Team has been in pain, ALL SEASON. We haven't always been there for them. Hell we've rarely been there for them.

Coach Tomlin has a platitude he says about not expecting support after performances like this. We as a nation expect him to fix the errors and to right this ship without us having to show our fire and our desire to see this team succeed. That can't stand.

We have to stand together, we have to fight together, we have to prove to the world, as Steeler Nation, that nothing can hold us down after a season where we've all been battered and bruised. It's been a long season for everyone.

It's not the destination we seek, it's the journey that takes us there that makes the victory all the more worthwhile. We cannot afford at this point to loose that fire that drives us to show up here each week to be with each other to cheer us on against whomever.

We've expended all of our logic behind what should be done to fix this team. Logic cannot help us this late in the game.

This is why I ask you all to come together so we can heal as a fanbase.

We either heal now, and be white hot and ready for blood when Sunday rolls around, or for this season we are dead. As Fans.

    I believe.

We have a very good shot of making playoffs and as a Steeler fan thats great. However the road to the super bowl for the Steelers will most likely be through Denver and New England with 2 future hall of quarter backs who will shred our medicore team. We are plagued by injuries (on our 4th and 5th corner) and if we have to goto Denver, no Clark. We can mail in the loss there. The chances aren't good, but hey anything can happen.

I'm not here to tell you what's right and what's wrong. I don't want to do that i don't want to seem like I'm trying to do that.

All I want, is for us to come together, to be the strong community of Steeler Nation that we know we can be. That the media proclaims that we're supposed to be.
To show the other teams how its supposed to be.

To do that, we need to stop doubting ourselves, stop doubting the team, stop doubting the game, and for the next few games become a unit of support. The only way it works, is if we come together.

All I want, is for us to support each other. Not fight with each other. Because we have to, if we're going to salvage anything.

We seek the answer to our problems, but it's a pointless, endless search. As was the Bruce Arians scenario. The only answer, the only solution we ever need is success and winning.

To do that, each season, we have to believe in what we have. As fans we have to support the fight to the playoffs and beyond.

Do you know what it means to be a fan?

    Do you?

I have to wonder how many do.

You don't give up on your team when things look bad. No matter how bad a loss hurts, you continue to fight.

That's your job, fight with your team. Fight with your community.

Be there for each other when their struggling.

No matter how many have packed it in already, I'm not going to.

We're the god-damn Pittsburgh Steelers. We're hated by those who want what we have.

The team understands they have to continue to fight, no matter what. What's the point for them to do so if their fanbase has given up on them?

They haven't given up on us yet, last time I checked we were still putting our best out on the field trying to win games.

I'm not giving up on them.

And to those who don't believe, those who say " ...this team sucks..." if you don't believe, then go away and come back when the time comes to talk about next year. Right now it is still this year and there are still many games left to play!

I don't understand this. I don't think I understand this community anymore. I don't know how this can be.

When I was a kid, when we faced losses like this, when we faced times like this, I used to always be able to look to other Steeler fans for support.

That's what they tell you you're supposed to do. I used to go to the old board and you guys always found a way to make me feel better.

As a community there used to be something intangible between us and Steeler Nation that tied us together during these types of times.

I don't feel it anymore. I don't know what happened. Something changed, we don't believe like we used to.

You don't have to be a rah rah guy to show your support, hell most of the support I've ever given has been through silent attention. Silent Faith. I"m not saying you can't talk about the mistakes we make as well, because it happens. The team sure as hell talks about it, all the time.

I'm just a little bummed, because there is a feel around here that's missing, and I don't know where it is.
