Think there was a thread about a Steeler Mt. Rushmore and who'd you would have on it.

I like the reminder that JH made the best play in Super Bowl history.

Mt. Rushmore for us should consist of those responsible for founding competitive Steeler football and not necessarily any players IMO.

Art Rooney Jr, Nunn, Noll, etc.

Where I lived many years ago they dug a huge retention pond and piled the dirt up next to it and made a hill

From then on I told kids I was older than the hills

Were there mountains then reminds me of Hannibal and his frigging elephants. Yes it was over 2000 years ago but we are supposed to believe this bad mofo took elephants across the Alps and still beat the hell out of the Romans. Come on man!;) I'm not a believer in an afterlife but if there is one I'm finding Hannibal and calling him on his BS. Then I'm kicking his ass because he trampled my fore fathers.

I’m having trouble with the idea 5000 years ago two penguins waddled all the way from the Antarctic just to get on a boat

Hannibal escaped the Romans at night by tying torches onto the horns of the Roman cattle and stampeding them up the side of a mountain. The Romans saw the torches going up the hill and went in full pursuit after them only to find that they were chasing cows. Hannibal snuck off the other way and lived to fight another day.

It’s era dependent, if you grew up watching the 70’s dynasty most of your guys on the mount will probably be from that era. If your era was 90’s and later it’ll look very different.

Pre 70’s era is pretty archaic and very unremarkable. Who stands out from that era besides Stautner and Layne?

A mixture is probably the best representation. Growing up in the 70’s I was a big fan of that team so I’m biased. Other kids were following Eviel Knieval or Ali, I was following the Steelers
