I know it's a few weeks off but wondering if any members will be attending and reposting on board???

I've never been there but from what I read it's not half as much fun as the old days. I think you could get a whole lot closer back in the day???????

    It’s like doctors “practicing” medicine

If I having surgery I don’t want a doctor who is just practicing

I told my doctor that once and he did not see the humor

Just like the doctor that got C's in med school has the same degree as the one's that got A's. Which one you want doing surgery on you, because according to hospital they are the same.:smiley1::cool:

I am going August 13th. I go every year (well for the past ten years) and the seating is the same as it has always been except for the year it was at the stadium during Covid.

I was thinking of the seating when I went back in the late 70’s when you sat on a grassy knoll by pine trees in the shade and had a blanket and a cooler of beer

I always have a blast on grassy knolls

Shortly before my Dad was able to get the VA to take care of his medical issues he had his pace maker put in at the local Megacorp hospital. The woman who hooked it up, screwed up the wiring so instead of receiving a jolt to keep his heartbeat steady when it dropped below a point it was constantly on never stopping. When confronted with her mistake and seriously I'm not making this up, her defense was I only did what I was told.

Once the VA heard that they told my folkes to never go back to that doctor again and that they would handle it from now on. ...

Also consequently I'm not allowed in the hospital when my dad is in because I have a tendency to yell at the medical professionals trying to kill him.

Maybe it's just me but I just can't bring myself to bother guys that are working or get in the way of kids trying to get autographs although I understand that has become a racket as well, paying kids to get something signed so you can sell it for big money. I had a fun time just watching the practice.

Who's autograph on the Steelers would bring big money right now? Not trying to pick a fight with you but I'm not seeing a lot of money being able to be made on autographs of players still playing and signing stuff.

Yeah when they leave practice and walk the rope line back to the dorms I do the same thing. This is the kids time to get autographs and get high fives from the Steelers. Sean Mahan took off his bloody, sweaty lineman gloves and slapped them in my 9 year old grandson's hands. I'm pretty sure during the post COVID era that it wouldn't happen today but my grandson thought the blood on the gloves was pretty cool.

I'm not saying on the Steelers but there were guys talking in years past about seeing sports memorabilia guys using kids to get stuff autographed and then turn around and sell it.

There is a shop in Duluth MN that sells sports cards, memorabilia and used video games that we stop at when visiting my daughter in college. They have a picture of Jake Guentzel lifting the Stanley Cup from the 17 cup run. It has an autograph on the cup but I can't make it out. On the white cardboard corner protector it says Bjugstad on it and they are asking 60 bucks for it. Now if it's signed by Nick Bjugstad I'm not interested in him signing a picture of Guentzel, it's kinda weird. But I would buy it if it's signed by Jake. They also have this oil painting type picture of what they are describing as Juju laying out Burfy except it's reversed and looks like Hines Ward again 75 dollars for something that I know is wrong isn't something I'm buying. My point I guess is that the signature adds value.

Do they have guidelines about the type of lenses they allow? In 06 I had a little Sony digital with a powerful zoom and saw a lot of 35mm types on shoulders but didn't see anything about restrictions.

My brother was in the hospital on a machine checking his heart getting his chest shaved just before going into have surgery for his heart

The surgeon walked in looked at the irregular squiggles and literally smacked the machine on the side

Poof all the squiggles were now perfect and my brother was told he could go home

My brother is a doctor at that hospital and the surgeon is his friend imagine what the rest of us get
