As was said earlier... Eli Manning, Drew Brees, Ben Roethlisberger and Tom Brady all retired in different years, so in my opinion.... they all get in on the 1st ballot, years 2025-28. Eli makes it solely on beating Brady and Patriots twice in the Super Bowl. And I think he deserves it, just for that accomplishment. Jim Plunkett also won 2 Super Bowls... and he's not in, so I guess strange things can happen.

Not only should he get in on the first ballot, he should headline that HOF class.

Ben is also top 5 in NFL history in win and he has won 67% of the time in his career(also in the top 5 among QB with at least 100 career win)

    Ben has these NFL records.
    Most 500 yard passing games - 4
Most perfect rated passing games -4
Most completions in an NFL game -47
Plus Ben has the greatest respect from every defensive player he has ever played. To a man they will tell you that Ben was the strongest, toughest QB that they ever faced.

He also has a career-defining moment, the game-winning touchdown pass to Santonio Holmes in Super Bowl XLIII. It's stupid, but stuff like that seems to matter with the voters.

He was one of three to win 100 games in less than / equal to 150 starts when he did it.

    Eli is 117 and 117

    Ben is 165 and 81

Brees 172 and 114 (7 more wins but 33 more losses)

the people who claim Eli will get in and he won’t be a 1st ballot aren’t living in reality.

I think you have to be a homer to think Ben gets in on first ballot. There is the political side, his personal problems when single.

First ballot is special recognition. They will tease a year or two after eligible then let him in IMO.

The more I think about this with Brady being eligible the following year. I can definitely see them not wanting to Ben in before Brady. I can see Ben going in year three of eligibility. I personally think he should be a first ballot HOF’er but these pundits don’t like Ben just look at the Pro Bowls, All Pros and Super Bowl MVP’s he missed out on all because of their dislike for him having nothing to do with his performance on the field.

How in the Hell is Brees a 1st ballot, but not Ben. Not counting SBs, and everything else. I don't remember the Steelers drafting another Qb in the 1st round to take Ben's job in His first 5 years like someone did Brees.

There's about 10 guys that have ever played the position that are as good as Ben. It's not his fault 3 of those guys played in the same era.

There is no debate. 1st ballot HOFer. I'm just hoping that the bust(statue) doesn't look like Ricky Bobby!

This. I remember Schottenheimer saying he needed more production out of the QB position.... which was direct shot at Brees. And then Chargers drafted Rivers. Brees was very average as a Charger, but top 5 with the Saints.

If you're going to champion someone, you should at least spell their name right.
It's okay to have two QBs from the same era be 1st ballot guys. Elway won 2 SBs and Kelly went to 4 straight but, who was the better QB, them or Marino? All of them are, deservedly, 1st ballot HOFers. So are Brees and Ben

Oh, I agree that Ben should be first ballot. I just think that if they were going to find a reason to keep one from being first ballot, it would be Ben. But some people are still upset that he had sex with a 20 year old when he was 24.

You also left out Ben 3 SBs ...Brees one, and this with the coach some say is the most brilliant offensive mind in football. Also didnt mention one always played for a Defensive coach, and one didnt......Also didnt mention one played outside 97% of their careers, and the other played indoors so much there were years they only played 2 games outside all year. Also didnt mention one played 3 years longer therefore of course they would have more yards, and tds. Also didnt mention that even though Ben played less years He still had more playoff wins, and No losing season.....something Brees knows all about. Thank You .....try again.

Has there been any previous bona-fide top 5 QBs of their respective generation not get in 1st ballot? Not to mention one with multiple rings?

I think they are both first ballot HOF’ers. I think they drafted another guy when Bree’s was their because he was coming off a pretty significant injury and they weren’t sure how he was going to rebound from that. I will say though outside of Brees being extremely accurate and throwing for a ton of yards in the Win column he really didn’t perform all that great when it came to post season wins and Super Bowls. The same can be said for Aaron Rodgers. Unfortunately the HOF voting is all about popularity much in the way the pro bowl has become. Brees had a squeaky clean character so that will probably be the biggest reason along with his stats on why he gets in as a first ballot HOF’er.
