I think the Steelers are happy with Chuks at RT. But having Moore as a guy who can play on either side will be valuable.

"I just want to go out there and maul dudes in the run game." Dan Moore

Its the speed rushers he can't handle. And gets a bit to comfortable with penalties.

He needs to be the swing. And possibly next season moving to RT. Although Okorafor has a sizable dead cap the savings by letting him go is a nice Chunk of change.

Well.. remember that the Steelers do have an opt out option within Chuks' contract this season per Sportrac. Only problem is the dead cap hit; nearly $11 million dollars total. All I can say to that is ouch. If the Steelers are to get rid of Chuks for any reason... best to let him go in 2024 or let him play out the rest of his contract and let him walk in 2025.

That's what I was eluding to Ask. Have Moore work as the swing tackle this season and then possibly moving to the right side in 2024.

I believe Chuks dead cap number next season is 3,083,334 which is a bit high but the savings is 8,750,000. He has a 4 mill roster bonus if the he is on the roster when the league year starts. So if they keep him past that its a moot point.

Moore is signed for peanuts for the 2024 season being an UFA in 2025

    Yep.

Besides, given how Moore is approaching this season, I believe his best bet for his NFL Future is a Starting Right Tackle. Given how adamant he was recently in an interview about training for such in the upcoming season... it would be in his best interest; his training also being another factor. I still would want Pittsburgh to opt for one in next years draft but if Moore can make the switch successfully, have him as the starter moving forward.

Reports are Moore is already taking snaps at right tackle. Chuks isn't going anywhere this season his dead cap is off the chain. This will give Moore time to work on his footwork.
