I went back and watched the highlights and I can tell why I completely block that game from memory talk about a garbage performance ughh. 1st game without TJ and very little pressure. The Pats picked apart the middle zone attacking the biggest weak spots. Mitch just looked like garbage killing one scoring drive by a bad throw into coverage that was off the receivers hands and intercepted. Canada with some just dumb playcalls I mean a 2 yard dump off one 3rd and 8 not even trying a short at the 1st down marker. Witherspoon being out muscled for a ball when the receiver is behind him and having to reach in front of him to steal the ball. Sutton dropping an easy pick. Gunner muffing a punt and setting that Pats up for the winning score on the turnover. Then the biggest failure was allowing them to grind out 1st downs in the run game to eat up the final 4 minutes.

All that being said I still wouldn't worry about them.

Was not happy going against San Fran week 1, but we went against Cincy last year and won and Buffalo two years ago to open and won. The last three years we'll have played two Conference championship losers and a Super Bowl loser to open the season.

It was, but he also finished the game against Brady and the Bucs and played very well. Pickett was knocked out of that one with one of his two concussions.

 

I know they hit some passes over the middle, but really, New England's offense managed only 17 points in that game. Most of that was due to two plays that you mentioned, the touchdown against Witherspoon and the muffed punt.

 

To be fair, he did say that the union needs to do a better job on the CBA. Doesn't that sound like he does know and he thinks they screwed it up?

 

Or the league could be punishing the Steelers for opposing the expansion and or flexing of Thursday night football games.
