JJ was throwing some praise Tomlins way, Tomlin came back with an invitation. Probably nothing comes of this and more than likely this is just come hang out with us whenever you want invite more than suit up for us invite but you never know what can spring from this.

I think if he came back into the league, and I agree 98% chance he won’t, I think he’d still have to honor one more year with Arizona. So, a trade? Even more unlikely. Especially if Derek isn’t back in western PA. The percentage chance would increase maybe another percentage point for all three bros to play together.

I can’t prove it and I doubt I ever brought up the hope in this site, but at some point last year I was hoping for such a landing spot with the Steelers. If only rotational and on select downs to preserve his health and gas tank. I think he still had like 8 sacks last year even at much smaller version of his peak self. Kinda like how James Harrison was supposed to be here as a break glass incase of emergency his last year. Tomlin should have pulled his trigger more. This all came to mind with the Tuitt debacle and we needed help.

    Boy would it be fun.

He’s slowed a step or two but he can still ball and experienced voices are welcome. Coach’s keep it in the family theory is novel. It’s Pittsburgh Pisces, Fish that Saved Pittsburgh novel.

I’m just going to grow this in here

If we had kept JH and used him we would have beaten Jacksonville

T J was spent and he could not keep containment on third and long

    Over and over and over

A DL rotation of Cam, Benton, Ogunjobi, Leal, and JJ would be real nice...

He's a free agent. They just broke up his contract in two years because you can when a player retires.

They want volunteers, not hostages or some such nonsense.

Giving him so few snaps made very little sense. Cutting him so he could play for another contender made none.

Should we be nervous for future draft picks? I am pretty sure JJ Watt retired before his Arizona Contract was up; looks like he was not scheduled to be a free agent until 2024..

Currently reading the article about how Washington may be in trouble for talking to Luck last offseason. Luck has been out of football for 4-years, but the Colts are claiming they still own his rights.

We have just witnessed a draft where only 31 teams had a 1st round pick.

No it wasn’t. Harrison was acting like an entitled jack ass and got what anyone doing the same should. Now you might say I don’t know, but actually I do. I knew a player on the team during that time and he had stories to tell. TTF and Blast can confirm as I showed them the signed contract. He was a nobody and rarely saw the field, but he was still a steeler

Luck is still under contract with the colts for two reasons: First, they did not demand repayment of any of his signing bonus. Secondly, because of A they continue to toll his contract like we did with Shazier. As long as the Colts are meeting their end of the bargain (not making Luck repay his bonus) they can toll his contract indefinitely.

Watt was released by the Cardinals after he retired. He is a free agent.

Well, James Harrison - former defensive player of the year - is and was someone who had a right to feel entitled. Even at that point.

And I agree with him that he should have been used more.

Would they need to bring back Derek to do it?

And, you guys are right, JJ Watt is a post June 1st cut of the Cardinals this year..

It’s a team sport when anyone puts themselves ahead of the team it’s time for them to go.

I actually agree with both of You. Simply because I do believe He should have been used more, but I very strongly agree with the...it's a team sport, and nobody should put themselves ahead of the team.

I’m not characterizing it that way. I’m seeing it as any player tryin to get on the field. And he wasn’t just any player, even at that point and who he was behind.

I think Tomlin and the Steelers have displayed that the transparency of players like him and Ingram were told or NOT told some things. And I tend to agree with them from what I saw on the field rotation wise.

Someone like you can make the argument that they were thinking of themselves and someone else could say they were lobbying to get on the field to help the team win too. And I think both sides have merits. These aren’t highschool greenhorn players or rookies here. One is/was a seasoned vet and the other a longtime Steeler DPOY and Super Bowl hero (should have a damn Gold jacket too!)…

Now I totally disagree about Ingram. The man had equal reps , or very close with everyone else.
