Agreed! Oddly enough, the Steelers don't have a ton of holes... CB and LT were the biggest. Well, they have a chance to successfully fill both of them here. Do it. Don't overthink it.

Normally a 3rd would be too much but in this case I think moving back ~10 spots and getting another 3rd is reasonable. Teams know there's a bidding war going on. I also think we could turn it into a 2024 1st, which would suck right now but I'd consider it. Having two #1s next year would awesome.

According to draft value charts an end of the 2nd and beginning of the 3rd would be of equal value. Please for the love of god Omar do not trade pick 32 or 49.

Jones is who I wanted, so happy. Just hope he's good and we don't regret Gonzales being a Patriot.

That to me would be perfect. Get a 2024 1st.

Watching JPJ highlights I get that he is long and lanky with long arms that allows him to break up a lot of passes. Always in good position it seems to do this. However he doesn't have ball skills (stone hands) to make the interceptions. He isn't afraid to come up and hit either which is plus. Love his size.

Watching Branch highlights he looks like a very smart player with taking angles and is in the right place at the right time to make the tackle or interception. Not afraid to tackle. Almost reminds me a little of Troy Polamolu on how flies around and how he tackles and does whatever it takes to bring the man down. Branch also offers flexibility with Minkah allowing both of them to roam around and be play making safties.

Tough call if we make the pick at #32...Who would be the better pick?

Unless they are sure they can still get Porter, Branch, or Smith, they should not trade back. Maybe they roll the dice, but only if they get an insane offer. One great thing about this is they have all day to field offers. Supposedly, they were already getting calls last night. I think one or more teams will try very hard to move up for Levis.

Maybe that and a third-rounder this year, but that's insane value.

Apparently Eagles had 2 extremely good picks according to “experts”. Steelers pick was “average”

32 would be a great bargaining chip. we could easily move back a bit and gain a 4th or 5th and still keep 2 picks in this round.

Detroit, Seattle, the Rams, LV, Atlanta, NO, Tennessee- All teams that might be looking at Levis or Hooker as future QB material. None of them need a QB this year, but will in the very near future. All trade down material without falling more than a dozen spots.
    Let the bidding war commence.

Brian Branch or trade down if they have a huge offer would be my top 2 choice

NFL Channel reports we are in talks to trade down from 32.

Trading down would be like saying they don`t believe in Joey Jr IMO.

I guess management PR/excuse would be they need recovery of a 4th round pick.

Strong Safety needs to be addressed. Need depth at ILB and OLB.

Steelers likely will go JPJ at #32.

IMHO, this needs to be a quality over quantity draft. Keep #32 and #49 and 3rd round pick. No trading back. Yeah, Steelers don't have a 4th, 5th or 6th round pick.... worse things have happened, like moving up to draft Devin Bush.

    Stetson Bennett at #251!!!!

The experts can suck it. We won't truly know for 3 years and they never give the Steelers sufficient credit for their draft picks. All of the freaking "experts" thought we'd hit a homerun with Devin Bush!

Whoever said don't overthink it is exactly correct. Take JPJ at 32, which is very good value at that pick, and then grab the best available DT at 49.

They don’t have to move pick 32. They could take Porter and use 49 to secure another draft pick or keep both 32 and 49 and trade Dotson for 4th.

    Khan has options.

Apparently 31 other teams don’t think he was a first rounder

I would consider EDGE here, Derick Hall AUB.

Does anyone have update picks for day 2 for us, did anything change?

Don't believe there are any other trade partners like the texans available.
Otherwise imo, use what is left from day 3 and finish the draft today
