Matt Canada has been MIA this entire offseason. While the coaching staff was at the senior bowl, Matt Canada stayed back in Pittsburgh. While the Staff was out visiting Pro Day after Pro Day, Matt Canada was back in Pittsburgh.

Should we be counting on a Matt Canada sighting these next few days while the draft is going on, and future players are flying into Pittsburgh to make their 1st team appearance?

Just like the Bigfoot, please post your blurry out of focus pictures here, so we can finally have proof that Matt Canada is still among us.

Why is an appearance important? Maybe Canada spent more time working on his craft of being a better OC instead of being an evaluator of talent?

We aren’t in the market for a top tier qb or rb. A wr is a possibility, but not likely. While I would love for the Steelers to draft Washington and jettison gentry my hopes and prayers for the draft aren’t worth a hill of beans. The only thing I see is the usual suspects trying to read the tea leaves.

I don’t think his appearance at this point would have any meaning one way or the other but thought it was telling that he wasn’t at any pro days.

My hope is his roll as OC will be watered down much like they did with Butlers roll as DC his last season. Steelers won’t fire someone under contract but they will take responsibilities away and give them help. Glenn Thomas is that guy this year. Hopefully at the very least he is in charge of route concepts and does a good job with it. I was hoping for a more high profile guy but as long as he gets the Job done, I don’t care.

we are taking the cheap and unproven route, and this continues to be irritating.

    wasting time and players careers.....

Would winning one playoff game 2292 days would mean the world of difference for you?

How about I give you real perspective. It took 25 years for the Steelers to win a another SB. The Jets didn't make the playoffs in 12 years. Atlanta, Cardinals, Browns, Bengals, ect never won a SB.

The Steelers made the playoffs 3 times out of the last 6 seasons without winning a playoff game. The Steelers never had a losing season since 2003. There were only a handful of seasons in which the Steelers were not in the playoff hunt since 2003.

Looking at the larger picture I don't see your point with 2292 days. One playoff win would mean what to you? I think you need to adjust your "sports vision" if this is what it boils down to.

No need for Canada to make an appearance, he's not involved in the decision-making process.

And sending Matt Canada to the draft in mid-April is going to help this how?
Besides, he'd look pretty goofy there with his Offensive Coordination for Dummies book in tow.

Because they track who attended the senior bowl week. They announced what staff members were going to what Pro Days this year.

Truth be told I don't know who the "They" is. Is it the media, or the Team posting where their staff are going? You can read online where members of the Steelers staff have gone this offseason.

Here is a list of all the Pro Days the Steelers staff have attended, and who attended them. Guess What? NO MATT CANADA ANYWHERE!!!

How many pro days did Austin attend? I know that position coaches attend pro days all the time, but is it all that common for coordinators to attend?

But he could be doing other things involved in the process. I'm sure he's doing something besides sitting on the couch, eating Fritos and watching the price is right.

The Steelers way! Hey it worked well in the 1970s times don’t change over 60 years or anything.

That being said I am excited for this weekend a good draft the first 4 rounds could set us up to be more competitive in a couple years especially if KP is even somewhat decent.

They weren't interested in drafting a QB early this year, why do they need to send Canada to a pro day to see some OL .

I did see 7-2 down the stretch. Maybe drew carey helped I guess. Couldn't be because of Canada. He only gets credit for the bad part. He probably spilled the Fritos too.:cool:

Will Tomlin Austin or Khan make an appearance at the draft

I was under the impression all of these guys will normally be in the war room in Pittsburgh so they can check their charts and freely discuss each pick

Then some peon is actually at the draft to get the phone call

But hey if you have a conspiracy theories keep starting posts until you get one right
