    Doesn’t sound bad for Jets.

Ticket sales, jersey sales, maybe even a Playoff game or two.

Jets get Rogers, #15 pick in the draft, #170 in the draft.
Green Bay gets #12 pick in the draft, #42 pick in the draft, #207 pick in the draft. Packers also receive a conditional 2nd round pick in 2024, which becomes a 1st in Rogers plays more than 65% of the snaps next season.

Trading 1sts the year is pretty negligible, the 2nd is understandable, giving a 2nd that likely becomes a first next year is nuts. You put all your eggs in one basket you bite as the deadline becomes closer, but GB had to trade him or eat over 90 million in CAP, or play a guy has likely lost the locker room and would be a cancer. I don't even care in Rogers gave a verbal commitment to play 2 years, the guy is nuts, lol.

I think Jets win on paper no idea why GB gave up a 1st.

I don’t think those terms are awful. Conditional 2nd protects against something bad happening this year so you don’t lose a first.

Rodgers is still playing at a high level. Garret going from the slop that was throwing to him to Rodgers is huge, Garret is a monster talent.

Their RB is a big time weapon, too. Was headed towards a big season before blowing out his knee. We’ll see how quickly he can bounce back from that but Jets have a good team on both sides of the ball. Clearly a win now move. If it brings them a SB it’s well worth it. The trade certainly didn’t mortgage the future if it doesn’t pan out for them.

Jets should look to draft Mayer at 15, one thing their team is missing. Would be huge.

Add another QB to the gauntlet the Steelers have to get past.

STD will be along any minute to give this a hilarious rating. “What has Rodgers every done!” :lolol:

Agree, Rodgers is coming of 3,695 YDS 26 TDS 12 INT season. I thought the Jets might have got two 1s for Rodgers, but they didn't get even an addition 1st round pick, they swapped a couple positions in the first round. Given that Jets defense who had little help from the offense and the skill players on that offense, along with signing Rodgers leading WR Lazard in FA, they have to be considered an SB contender.

The good news is that now we only have to trade up 3 spots to get around the Jets taking that Offensive tackle in the 1st. I was hoping the Jets would have to give up this year's #1 and get them completely out of the LT Market for the Steelers.

3rd round pick from the Steelers should be enough to move up and grab a tackle before the Jets go on the clock at #15.

I wonder what it would cost to trade with GB for the #13 pick?

Rodgers is one of the Greatest regular season Qbs the NFL has ever seen.
Although He is so worried about His td/int stats, and He's that Guy that is afraid to lose, more than He wants to win. I've said that about Him for years.

200 points. Our third is worth 190. Probably be good enough.
More likely trade with New England at 14. Our first and third, their first and 145 (last pick of fourth round). They'll be happy preventing the Jets from getting the OT they want, and pick up a third in the process. We'll get the OT we want, keep the same number of picks.

Just like any other team, you lose your QB the Season is mostly over.

Jets better a backup that can win a few games.

Huh? They swapped picks with them and came away 3 spots higher. Picks up a 2nd and gets a conditional 2nd next year.

Packers should have two 1st round picks, instead, they gave a first to get a slightly higher first.

Its only based on conjecture, but Cowherd was looking at the Jets schedule next year, no dates set of course, but the NFC their D will face is very weak at QB's, they have a very light travel schedule. It always comes down to performance, but if he gives them a 2 year window and keeps his game then they do have a chance to get there.

If they wanted to get this done it had to be before the draft in this time frame. The trade could not be official until several things happen, one is/was getting the Jets and Rodgers to work out a contract that gets them under the Cap and will be spread out enough in case he bolts after one year, then a physical, then league approval. IDK the specific time frame, but this has to be dome before the trade can be final and those draft picks to work. Also GB has to has to move on this to get those picks secured, and get Rodgers off their Cap, if the Jets would have just said screw this, they would have been totally F'ed. You can ask and think you deserve 2 firsts, but it does not mean you are going to get it, moving up those spots would have cost them a 3rd of 4th, depending on how the draft works out, then can use that position to get a better pick, or trade down for more capital. In the end I think the Jets are short sighted, thats a lot of capital for a guy who said he was 90% out of the league 2 months ago. That said if he gets them to the SB then over 50 years of frustration are erased. In the end GB got at least 2 number 2's, probably a 2 and 1 plus more and cna turn it into more..and got a 90 million cap hit off their books.

I think it was Cowherd yesterday (for what its worth) that said the 3 lowest rated QB's with multiple starts last year were all wearing Jet uniforms, so yea..they had to do something, but they need to do more lol.
