Has there ever been a head coach who had a son in the league in the modern era? I can’t think of one.

Would people drag Tomlin and the Steelers organization for drafting him if he’s actually a pro level athlete?

Would it be controversial and considered nepotism?

Would people accept it gladly or would there be heat over it?

Would other teams kindly step aside to let the Steelers pick him. Almost insider trading.

Would a rival team grab him out of spite?


How hard would a Steelers defender tackle him? In our practices or against him in a real game?

I think one of the Shula's was a back up QB with a team, can't remember if Don was still a HC at that time. That's the only one that comes to mind and I'm to lazy to look it up, lol

Well I did do a short search, I think Mike played a year or 2 after his dad retired, but Dave was on the colts roster in 1981. He had no stats so do not know if he made the team or not.

 

I'm happy for the coach, that's a great feeling.
Dino has barely 200 yds rec'g and is a junior.
His form sucked on that TD but he did catch it.
He's better off working for dad as a intern and learning the coaching ropes.
