How does Mike Tomlin compare to other NFL head coaches? There's no doubt the standard has fallen.

Hell, the only reason I want him to stay is to keep stumping people on the question, Of the 4 major sport organizations in USA which team has had the fewest Head Coaches in the last half century? :)

Dude you're like a broken record in just about every thread about the playoff record, we all know what it is .

I see the usual trolls are popping up with their mindless repetition
When they aren’t bright enough to add to the conversation and want to be seen they just keep repeating what they can

    There are a few here

I guess the Cowboys dynasty and the 49ers with Steve Young slipped your mind.

Ben won 2 Super Bowls and lost a third. Ben is a lot more elite at being a QB then Tomlin is a HC.

It wasn’t Bill and it wasn’t Tom. It was the fact the QB played for about 60% of what he should have been paid. They only won when Brady was on a rookie deal or married to a Super model. They won nothing in between. They cheated the salary cap. If Mahomes played on a rookie contract for 20 years because he was married to a super model or won the power ball every year. Mahomes would have 15 rings. Brady was known for taking a team friendly deal which is bogus because he never did that when he was single.

Yet there are about 4 people on this board that always agree with each other and love Tomlin. When it’s 4 versus 10,000 the 4 people are typically dead wrong.

And he’s supposed to be a defensive minded coach. He’s not…!

His best trait to getting teams to to keep playing for him and his messages not getting so stale that he’s lost their ear. If the Rooney’s and Kahn were smart they would PAY UP (since it doesn’t affect the cap) and get him the BEST coaches money can buy. When he’s had very good coaches, those units performed. The problem is he’s only had 1 or 2 stand outs at a time. He needs to be lousy (in a good way) with top tier coaches and then coupled with his charisma that keeps players listening, then we could get #7 and more.

Says the guy who keeps bashing Ben in the most mindless repetitive manner.

Ben is history... at least talking about Tomlin is still staying current and relevant to today's team.

We call them the “squad”. I imagine they have posters of Mikey hanging on their walls and ceilings even though they are grown men. Very strange indeed.

Some don't understand Chinese Water Torture. The statement of truth drips on their heads but they need to diss the statement.

Look as I said earlier Tomlin is not going anywhere at this point. Some seek comfort in that. I would like to see a hold up on a contract extension. Lets see how this season plays out. Playoffs or bust as far as i'm concerned.

But don't be freaked if he gets the extension though.

Yeah, I think it would be premature to extend him. This needs to be playoffs or bust, and win - or at least be competitive against a better team - in the 1st round. There needs to be a step forward.

Actually Ben won one and was lucky he wasn’t yanked in one where the rest of the team saved his ass

So actually he’s mediocre to good just like Tomlin

There is enough blame to go around

Actually Mahomes has taken a very very team friendly deal. Now He may want to change it later....I don't know, but it's a team friendly deal cap wise.

How could you not know this

Ben Roethlisberger has the lowest passer rating by a quarterback in a win in a Super Bowl, with a 22.6 rating in Super Bowl XL against the Seahawks on February 5, 2006.

Yeah, but to be a bit more fair he was MUCH better than anyone expected in the other two playoff wins before that against the Colts and Broncos.

At that point of his career with that team and its style he was always called a “game managing QB”. He made the splash plays when it counted in the SB.

The barely there TD run and the flea flicker deep to Ward.

His passer rating in the playoffs was 148,95,124&22. Ben carried the team to the Super Bowl. Not to mention the tackle he made that saved their season. The super bowl you say he sucked at he had a rushing TD. If that was a passing TD by Ben instead of rushing by Ben his passer rating would probably be 70. If we don’t draft Ben we are still sitting at 4 Super Bowls. How can you not know this.
