With a little luck and a good draft we could jump over all but the top 5 by season end

For the same reasons we can equally go the other direction

    It’s still fun to debate

Yeah , I think I know more about this draft and its prospects than any other in my life, and Im in my 40s.
I am growing tired of them now, can't wait until the real thing in 4 weeks.

Steelers should be at worse one spot behind the bengals.

I'm sure the PFF version has the Browns at #2

Scary part is KP is like 22 ranked QB on fantasy draft boards. That’s not an overall indictment solely on him but also the offense he plays in but still concerning. If the Steelers are going to think they can compete this offense needs to start scoring TDs and throwing downfield.

Expected stats. In our message board league, I believe QBs get 1 point for every 25 passing yards, 1 point for every 10 rushing yards, 6 points for TDs (passing or rushing) and minus 2 points for turnovers. I think there are also bonus points for hitting 300 yards passing.

He should be a spot above or behind wherever Joe burrow is in fantasy rankings.

Having started the rankings at 23, let's hope we do not drop far by the end of the season.

well, actual data that many times is meaningless, AKA - the Edmunds 'data' that the Eagles are all excited about

PFF meaningless data, that sort of stuff....

yep - and this just may not happen. i don't see explosive and our offense, in the same sentence.....yet.....I can see us now, getting set up on the correct hash mark for the Boswell FG attempt.

It’s only meaningless to people that don’t know what it means.

I think KFP and QB’s in general get dinged for picks that are almost just as much a receivers fault or more than the QB. So, I would take the ranking at that position with a grain of salt and it’s where fantasy stuff is not in-line with actual game play. I think Kenny is better than 22nd (or will be). The QB position is unique on that subjective stat.

His first pick last year was 100% Claypool’s fault - it hit him in the numbers! If I remember correctly another that game was on a receiver too. Pickett could have and should have won that game against the Jets.

The “or will be” hilighted in red is the salient point

The 22 rating is not for the whole 2023 season it is for where he essentially ended the 2022 season

He progressed nicely and there is every reason to believe he will continue to do so for the next years

Therefore that 22 rating will/could/should climb as the season goes on

Plus he technically is rated 21 since Lamar Jack Ass Son technically is not an nfl quarterback and might be dumb enough to not play this year

While the pass did hit chase in the hands it was under thrown and a rainbow. Those two things allowed the safety to recover and make the int. It was a poorly thrown ball.

See, I don’t see it exactly that way. Yes, a touch underthrown (how many passes had he even had in the game at that point? Two or three, maybe?) I remember it being so close that Claypool just had to slow up because it wasn’t gonna hit him in perfect stride, but he wasn’t reaching back either. He just had poor catching technique and it bounced up. It did give the DB an extra step to get to a tipped up ball that shouldn’t have been.

I think is more rare than not that a pass needs to be adjusted to as opposed to it being perfect. It’s pretty hard to ding KFP for that one, and it was the play where my mind immediately said that Claypool hadn’t progressed from his catch and fall to the turf junk from the year before.
