I watched it. It was so long ago now I don't really have any emotional attachment to that game. We've won 2 SB's since then anyway

    LOL Just finished watching it.

Im yelling "NO Neil!!! Dont throw it Neil, don't throw it!!!!"

And he still does every time. One of these days he's going to hold the ball on that play and hit the wide open WR for a TD. One of these days it will happen, you watch.

D, I can see the resemblance.
Even though we're 2-1 in SBs since that game, we lost to the Cowboys! With Barry Switzer as their coach!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was cool seeing players I had forgotten about like, Searcy!

That game should illustrate for all why coaches tend to lean on veterans over rookies.

That's pretty funny, I too became a Steeler fan as a result of a Steeler/Cowboy SB, only my game was in '76 :lolol:

Wish I could say the same Shaner. Unfortunately the week before the Superbowl my Grandfather died and my folks had to fly back to PA for the funeral. The Friday before the game I had a routine knee scope scheduled but I was convinced I was going to die just because my Grandpa had died and the Steelers were playing in the Superbowl and I wouldn't make it too see the game. It all seems foolish now but I have a lot of emotions tied to that game. They are some biter sweet memories for me.

    Why rewatch it?

It's already lodged deep inside my brain like some little bizarre nightmare thats still eating away many years later. A complete team effort with one of the most gutsy offsides kicks in the histroy of the game only to be spoiled by one man's poison to disrupt the integrity of the best game that I have ever known. Obviously, I'm still not buying the ball that just slipped excuse yet.

I remember this debacle all too well. Found myself watching the game today and actually hoping for a different outcome. Crazy I know, but I still have a hard time swallowing this one. Barry Switzer beat us???!!! Thanks to Neil O'Dummy. This game ruined a weekend getaway with my wife!

I have a copy of the game on DVD, which ends after Kirkland's sack. That's as far as I ever want to watch.
