The Eagles will figure out Edmunds needs to be benched in less than 9 games (smart coach) and he will be cut next offseason. Tomlin started him for how many years?

Actually, despite his size, Kazee is actually pretty good against the run. He isn't a guy you want in the box all that often due to his size, but he is a good tackler.

Are you thinking about the play that helped the Chargers make a huge comeback against the Steelers? That wasn't Edmunds. It was Sean Davis.

Chance of drafting at his position in early rounds way up now IMO.

I'm no fan of either of them, but perhaps a bit less snark the next time you get something like that wrong. You're welcome.

And man oh man did we get KILLED by short crossing routs the last two years! The middle was constantly open. I’m bald now… Thanks Tomlin!

But he doesn’t have the thick body type to play that roll full time like his brother. That’s the bigger dude.

I am hopeful you are not referring to last year because our run D was pretty damn good. Year prior not so much.

2020 last in Run D, 2021, next to last...Last year yes improved, especially as the year went on..." Some " of this can be attributed to the sudden inactivity and retirement of Tuitt, " Some " to the absolute A** of the ILB play ...

But the bottom line is...The Run D has been horrendous for YEARS! Humiliated, in playoff losses! And Edmonds was " good " against the Run...

I wouldn't be opposed to going DL , with the first TWO picks! Cam, still playing at a high level, 2 young studs around him, we added 2 hard hitting, downhill ILB's...

Lets get BACK to smash mouth " DEFENSE "! Shorten the game for KP...Ball control Offense...

That's old school Football for sure but, the high flying Offense, and a sieve of a Defense... Didn't wield us anything but that .500 record thingy, and embarrassing, blowout playoff losses...

Most of the reason the run D sucked in those years was because of terrible ILB play. They brought in Jacks and Bush played less and it seems to make a difference but also Spillane had a great year in 2022. The stats for 2022 were indeed trending up and I expect it will be the same for this year or better. For a 1st round pick Edmunds did not live up to the grade. He was average at best and yes he was better in run defense and able to stop the run but his pass defense left something to be desired. I like the moves we are making in Free Agency. I expect the D will be much improved

    https://www.statmuse.com/nfl/ask/most-rushing-yards-given-up-by-a-defense-2022#:~:text=The Houston Texans allowed the,in 2022, with 2,894 yards.
