Reported he is now the highest paid OL, it sets the market. Now sure OT's can get the same leverage as QB's when asking for the cash, but yea 20 to 25 million a year is going to be the new standard for top rated T's.

There are some good players available and good suggestions above.

What about a #2 TE from that list, there are a few guys on there that might take prove-it deals like Irv Smith, Moreau or Hooper.

Im not saying pick 17 will be ILB I said either that or LT/CB. They do need DL help as well but I think the other 3 are more glaring.

Probably not, and you'd like some ST ability out of that position. Thing is though, there were a ton of FA RBs and they may not really get much of a choice. I'd happily give 6 touches a game to Singletary, Harris or McKinnon. Zeke is pretty washed and Hunt's an Ahole.

Eh, Singletary to Texans for 1/3.75. That's about what I was thinking. Schultz goes there, too, for [up to] 1/9. Deals are getting cheaper!

I think Dalton Shultz at the top of the list is a great player and cap casualty in a crowded team.

Im thinking all of the free agent moves have told us that they think OL is the problem.

They are are going to crash the OT spot with their first pick. If they don’t see a top three or four OT falling to them after viewing how the beginning of the draft is shaking out, I see them now trading up to get “their guy” or 2nd guy of the future. It’s not often The Steelers are in any striking distance to get the franchise OT and have him on the cheap for the 5 year rookie contract. They might trade 17 & 32 to move up or 17 and 49 or 17 and a future pick.

I’m convinced they are trying to get the line right in a hurry and not settling and compromising. They are getting the O line sorted.

I think you can get there with a defense ranked 8-15 if you can control the clock and score offensively.

Of course I hate to give away our draft capital but if it means getting the top 1 or 2 OT with this newly bolstered starting line with Cole or Herbig starting at LG and Moore and Dotson (last years full starters) as back up then I’m sold.

It turns the Claypool trade with trading our 1st this year to Chicago at the 9th pick before Tennessee at 10th for a franchise LT for 10+ years into an even bigger steal for Kahn. We still have out original 2nd round pick.

If Mitch was intent on causing problems, he wouldn't have went to Florida for workouts with his teammates last month.

They dont run a true NT bc they see no value in it. It's such a small percentage of snaps that would call for it, and high end QB's can just get the NT stuck on the field and have 0 threat of any pass rush up the middle. If there were any plans of running basic 3 man fronts more than the sub packages and the DT's we would have made absolutely ANY attempt at doing so.

We were last in YPC in 2021 bc our ILB's were GARBAGE. It had very little to do with the DL by comparison. We signed Ogunjobi to help the DL and it did. The biggest thing was that Jack/Spillane/Robinson were better than Bush/Shobert/Allen. You can tell as a team we feel like the running issues were caused by the ILB's as opposed to the DL because we have added no DL and let 3 of our 5 ILB's walk (and cut the 4th) and signed 2 replacements. We haven't done anything along the DL except retain one of our own FA.

They will likely address the DL at some point in this season's draft but if you're hoping for a NT of old, I think you are going to be disappointed.

OK. Let's just say Peterson is great for at least two years....who plays the other side, or even the slot. You expect Him to be the only CB???
We are along way from taking care of the CB position. Matter of fact ....I believe it's the only position We don't have starters in all of the spots.

The Ravens should move on from him. Any player who not only doesn't suit up but doesn't even show up for a playoff game I wouldn't want on my team.

Lamar getting seriously humbled, there is no interest in him from other teams by all accounts. Looks like he will be back to Baltimore with the power having tilted completely in favour of the team.

The smart move is to sign the tag and play the year out while pocketing $30m + then have another run at free agency next season with the number getting even higher if the Raven decide to tag him again. His pride could get in the way of this of course.

It was a risk worth taking either way, he was one if they had offered the tender i do not think most would have balked to much, that said saving those peanuts help get better depth other places.

here are the stats for our corners and the one that got away. witherspoon had a bad year last year but a good one the year before.

pierre though less plays on the field had the best percentage against the pass compared to any of them.

maulet actually had his best year. 1 pick- 59 tackles- 2 sacks.

i'm seeing a corner and maybe it's a safety/ corner and maybe a guy that can jump into the slot.

Even if he did get the tender it would still be a good move
