    1st - DL
2nd - TE (Hot Take) Darnell Washington
    2nd.2 - CB
    4th - ILB
    7th - OL, DL, EDGE
    7th.2 - OL, DL, EDGE

I’m liking a top TE Darnell Washington to work WITH and not against Friermuth and it helps the o-line a bunch and helps the slot issue in the passing game surpassing the need for a WR.

If this is a copy cat league, I have NEVER understood why no team tried to mimic the Pats when they had an unstoppable force in Gronk and Hernandez giving every team match-up fits in the middle and 12 man personnel. I’d love to see Pickett (who doesn’t have an other worldly arm) get a great toy to work with. Kills 2 birds with one stone at OL help and the receiving hole.

Look up Washington’s combine measurables, stats, and workout. It makes us very unique and something other teams in the conference aren’t built to stop.

Washington is also an excellent run blocker!

That’s the point I made in my description.

20lbs heavier than the next two top TE’s, 2 inches taller, faster 40 dash, and much stronger.

Yeah, it’s 50/50. OL or DL. I just don’t think an appropriately rated tackle will be at 17 and we’d be reaching and I don’t want to trade our minimal capital to move up. That’s why I went with a powerful TE to help the o-line with our 2nd pick. I also think left guard is more of a need.
Ideally I’d like to see us trade down a few spots and get the left guard and hopefully gain a 3rd or 4th round pick.

Still desperately want the big strong TE for o-line blocking and receiving help with the first pick in rd 2.

Love this idea...But, I was JUST listening to " Moving the Chains" on SiriusXM radio in my Truck and..

The 2 analysts were saying, they're thinking Washington in gonna skyrocket up the draft boards ( maybe even inside the top 20 )...

And are saying he has the " potential " to be like a Kelce or Kittle

Then go get him! I’d trade our original 2nd round in some good chess move maneuver and get him.

Package a trade with Tribisky with that original 2nd pick and even pay some of his salery this year. Retain Mason Rudolph and get a 3rd scrub QB in the undrafted realm for the practice squad.

I'm all for the Line of Scrimmage.
I prefer an OT, but you're right, he has to be there.
I do not want to trade down unless, I know my guy is still there.
I don't not want to pass a Grade A for Grade B. If you know what I mean.

1st: Left Tackle. They will get their franchise here. Protecting Pickett is paramount. Moore moves to left guard his natural position and the unliked by Tomlin Dotson is traded for a 5th.

2nd: Corner or Defensive tackle. The chatter is they might have Leal lose some weight and be a hybrid DE/OLBer. Did some last season on the stand up.

    2nd: See above.

    3rd: Inside Linebacker

    4th: Outside Linebacker

5th: (Providing they trade Dotson) BPA

    7th x 2: Receiver/ safety/ corner/ Camp Arm.

    1st - ILB/CB
    2nd - WR
    2nd.2 - OL
    4th - DL
    7th - Edge
    7th.2 - OL

I'm not sure we can afford to pass on Campbell. This has been a glaring weakness since Shazier went down. He's going to be a good one for the next 10-12 years.

It all depends on a lot of factors.
Who is there in what round?
Who is still on the board that we think we can get in a later round?
What positions have we already filled via free agency and earlier draft picks?
    Based on needs however -
    1st - CB
    2nd A - DL
    2nd B - ILB
    3rd - OL
4th - BPA (Edge, OT, Slot CB, NT, WR)
    7th - BPA (See above)
    7th - BPA (See above)

Now based on need and the strength and weaknesses of the Draft -
    1st - DL
    2nd A - ILB
    2nd B - OL
    3rd - CB
4th - BPA (Edge, OT, Slot CB, NT, WR)
    7th - BPA (See above)
    7th - BPA (See above)

Trade Up: 1st(17) and 3rd(80) to get one of the 3 elite Tackles. (Skoronski / Johnson / Jones)
    2nd(32) CB Joey Porter
    2nd(49) ILB (Simpson / Campbell)

Wow, this must be one of the most optimistic drafts I've seen so far this year. Something I'd see on a Ravens board.

Why? Every mock draft I have seen the Steelers miss out on one of the Top 3 OTs; but just barely. IF they trade up just a little they should be able to land one of the big 3.

Joey Porter is the 4th or 5th best CB on the board, I bumped Banks past him because of his Combine numbers.

And I think when Day 2 starts both Simpson and Campbell will still be on the board. I don't think an ILB goes in Day 1.

Trade what though? Future draft picks? Because you’ve given nothing in this draft (yet) to move that many spots. That takes a LOT to move that far up.

Trade their 1st and 3rd to move up 3 or 4 spots to get one of the elite tackles in the draft.

That 3rd round pick(80) should be enough to move up to 14 or 15 from 17. Maybe even up to 13? That 3rd round pick is worth 190 points on the Calculator for Draft pick position and it cost 50 points to move up 1 pick from 17.

Something you may not have known, which makes for an intriguing late round pick-
Andrew Vorhees has been projected as a third/forth round OG. He tore his ACL at the combine, which means he probably is out for most of, it not all of next year. Yeah, maybe a flier in round 7.
But here's the thing- AFTER he tore his ACL, he had the trainers put a brace on it, went to the bench press, and did a combine best 38 reps, 4 more than the next best, publicized freak Mazi Smith.
This kid has heart. If he hits the 6th, would you be in favor of trading next year's fifth for a third round talent?

Yup. I’d love if the staff made a calculated move and drafted him somehow for the future.

I'd be happy with Harrison if they traded back and picked up another second or third. Otherwise, value isn't there at 17.
Forbes- 166 lbs? Really? Guys going to be hurt all the time. I know he has the interceptions, but I'd be worried every time he had to bring down a TE or RB.
