Well, here we sit just days away from not necessarily the season, but a huge game in terms of what this team will bring to Cowboy Stadium. I've watched Dallas play this year, and at times, as we have, they look awful, and to see them at 7-6 as we are, is surprising. Their o line has caused Romo to run for his life this year, and I have to wonder how the Steelers will approach this? No Ike this weekend means Lewis will man up on Dez which leaves a lot of inexperienced guys to cover everyone else ( which still includes Lewis.). Getting to Romo is a key IMO and we haven't generated much of a pass rush lately? Woolley coming back is huge if he stays on the field, but somebody has to help, and other than Harrison who seems to be playing better I'm not sure who that will be? IF Romo has no pressure due to LB s dropping in coverage most of the day he could replicate SD and Rivers. To counter, our O line is porous as of late ( except for the Ravens?) and D Ware will be in our backfield early and often. The Boys have decent CB's who played ok against Cincy and kept them in check all day. I swear, I get the feeling Special Teams will decide this one. Our return game on punts and KO has to make something happen, and it seems like they are a sure bet for a block in the back on every one of those. We have Ben and more weapons on offense, but Ware just worries me and I'm watching from my couch . Here's to hoping Special Teams makes it happen this week ! Your opinions????

I was feeling much better about this game before I read the participation report, secondary is going to get picked apart unless we get pressure on Romo. The good news is Dez is hurt and might not even play, although he says no way he is missing the game but he didn't practice today, so hopefully he won't be able to go.

Very interested to see if we can run the football (at least 3ypc)...

Very interested to see if pass protection improves this week...

    Worried about our secondary...

Their D is not good, should be able to score on them.

Their O is mediocre. Pressure Romo= win game.

Consistent Steeler football without any turnovers and we win. This will be the deciding factor for the remainder of the season. I want to see Jerry Jones sooo mad he hits the sidelines wanting to stick his nose in the game-plan where it doesn't belong. That will make me a very happy Steeler fan.

My experience is, when we are all worried about a game. We crush them. Crush them for us Steelers

    By this years Cowboys?

if that happens,,, wait I can't even imagine that.

Cowboys are not a dominate team.

heck, they may fire their coach after this season. he stinks.

That's the same thing their saying about Norv and look what happened to us at HOME. They kicked our asses all over the field on our own turf. I love my Steelers and anyone that knows me, thinks of me every time they see the Steelers but it hurts me to say this...... we suck.........we are not as good as we may think our team is.

I think it depends on if the Steelers show up? And that
seems to be a very big question.

The Steelers are not dominate either and we just played a team at HOME that's not dominate and Turner's job is on the line as well. Now the steelers have another ROAD GAME. I'm with Slickster on this one though i'm not sure we will be crushed but a loss. As i said in a thread prior to the Chargers game... teams with their backs to the wall work o/t on game plans and become very dangerous and we have yet found the recipe to beat these "pumped up" teams.

But they have consistently "shown up" after poor performances this year. The two-game losing streak included the one bad performance. We beat Baltimore without the special-teams breakdown - even with a quarterback with broken ribs. I don't see the pattern changing in the Dallas game. The "good" Steelers will show up and win the game. The concerning one is Cincinnati. They need to follow up a Dallas win with an equally impressive Cincy win.

I know whatever advantage we have we will not take advantage of it. Chargers for example. Had desimated offensive line, coach will be fired along with most of the staff, no receivers and we still can't take control. I'm not going to go into the Raiders and Titans game.

Dez Bryant might not play, their offensive line is suspect and Romo is Romo. But we will do like we do with every team and make them look better than they are.
All I know it will be a close game down to the wire and we just hope Suisham can come through again.

:this!: Dez Bryant will be on the field and he will most likely be on the side of Brown/Van Dyke/Victorian so he really doesnt need to be 100%. We dont get ANY pressure on the QB- ever- so that is a non-factor. And the fact that the Cowboys D is not great...did you see our OL play last week?

Who knows what will happen. We couldnt even hardly move the ball against a subpar chargers team. I love my steelers but jesus they are wearing me out.

They have to cover Witten!! The TE always kills us. And Lebeau, please don´t play with 15 yard cushions or we'll get killed.

Looking at our schedule so far all I can say is thank God we got to play the NFC East this year. 1-3 against the AFC West has hurt us big time. It would be nice to get the sweep this week but I guess it depends on which team shows up. If we move the ball we win.

I hoping this is the game where Harrison is completely back and Troy is feeling it. If this team can find some consistency on offense and get a few turnovers they can play with anyone. I think Romo finds a way for us to win this one if our offense can do a decent job.

    This.

I mentioned this before the SD game last week, and if Gates (and other receivers) had caught even half of what was thrown at them, they would have hung 50 on us easy.

i think we will do much better this week. we won't have to limit ben in practice to see if he can play.

the people that are out are giving the newbies the early practice this week. they should be much better.

victorian and DVD give our secondary alot of speed. brown has been getting more live reps and should be improving.

we can run on this bunch.

plax is getting reps. cotch is getting reps.

beachum is in week 3. DD wants his debut to be a good one. he is getting reps and haley is finding out what he can do the best.

troy playing at half speed and not practicing worries me. allen should play this game with clark and the fill in corners. troy still is not right and nobody is afraid to throw his way. i don't want to have to use timmons to help him out with witten. that just weakens us somewhere else.

i think we take this one though.

I think Witten is going to burn us all game long. We just don't have anyone that can cover him. I also worry about Miles Austin lighting us up. We're going to end up giving him a 15 yard cushion and he's talented enough that he'll make us pay.

the best way to cover with young corners who are still learning the nuances of Lebeau's system is man coverage with some bump and run .... these cowboy receiver have some speed too so anything you can do to slow the play down will help the pass rush .... lebeau normally does not have his guys play man but I think they just might this week ( I sure hope he tries it anyways )
