Countless interviews from various Steelers players this past week have recalled that they played with no emotion Sunday and we're unprepared and un motivated. One comment stook out to me, that was from Keisel who said he noticed it in the pre game warm ups and huddle that there was no to little emotion. Now there are a few players on the team who exhibit emotion, confidence and something very important "Swagger" but the player with the most Swagger was nowhere to be found on the field instead he was in a boot on the sideline in a Steelers beanie. That was Ike Taylor. I think it is more than possible that Ike Taylor not only benefits this team on the field physically but also mentally and brings swagger to the defense and team mates. If you have ever been to a Steelers game you will notice Ike dancing in a pre game huddle in front of team mates. Of course Ike Taylor is no excuse for how poor the offensive line was because they were beyond terrible. Ike Taylor is certainly a man with immense Swagger but the team I watched last Sunday exhibited no sense of Swagger at all.

I will give them a pass last week but if the steelers can't get up for the game with the cowboys this week then we are in real trouble

    Why?
They laid an egg on the field in front of hometown fans with a more secure playoff spot within reach while playing with "no emotion". I'm so tired of being able to get up for some games but not all games. For god sake, why should games be about throwing on a "switch or not" so to speak. Man up and take care of business or let some other team in that will.

Glad the rest of the AFC North contenders stunk it up or the main discussion right now would be possible draft order.

So...looks like that horse is still twitching on the ground, someone get a stick...

Who's to blame for the team being "unprepared and unmotivated" - if those are the true words used by various Steelers after Sunday's debacle.

I have seen Ryan Clark try to motivate his team as well. I pray the young guys step up!

As a former defensive back in college, you need to play with confidence and be humble because that's the only position where you can go from hero to zero in less than 5 seconds. All the chest pumping, don't see me gestures and crossing arms signals will get you on ESPN highlight reel sooner than later. Prime example was Allen and Brown. Allen did well for a few plays, then BAM he was burned for a touchdown. Brown played well against the Ravens, then BAM he got torched like a cheap couch. Play your game and get off the field. See Barry Sanders.

Sorry, but this is all BS. If we can't win games vs. 4 - 8 teams because we don't have an emotional leader, then the team obviously isn't that good. While I do believe team chemistry and emotion is a good thing, and really won us the SB in 2005, it can't be all or nothing.

If they go out there with no emotion then its time to hang up the cleats. There is no way in hell they should play that way last sunday. it was totally embarrassing.

Couldn't agree more......those comments are very demoralizing to me...from high school on up, you are taught to leave it all on the field. something's very wrong when you can't get motivated for a game.... it is simply a lack of maturity and professionalism.... This is where tomlin needs to step in and dole out some discipline, or he is just as much at fault..
