Okay. I got the names wrong. So roast me. My posts record speaks for itself. Some complain when other fans or players throw someone under the bus. I hope none of you ever experience a senior moment, because someone will come out of the woodwork and exacerbate that mistake. Usually some one from within the family or organization. Oh well that's too ingrained in human nature to fix. So just grow a thick skin, man up, and buck up soldier.

Now back to the 'intent' of the post as separate from the person posting.
1. There seems to be fewer coaches winning multiple super bowls in recent years. The multiple head coach winners are from an earlier era. No commentary implied. It's just an observation.
2. What characteristics and traits would the next multiple super bowl winning head coach need to possess. And do any of them exist now that we might be able to identify.

 

It's all good man. There was another father and son coaching combination that won the exact same number of Super Bowls that Kyle Shanahan has. That would be the Mora's.

No I had never heard that. I can see why people would say that. There is some resemblance.

 

Speaking of Mike Shanahan, does anyone remember the "Shanahan's a C U N T" song Jim Krenn and Randy Bowman did for WDVE before the 2005 AFCC game? It was flipping hilarious. This thread reminds me of that song. If anyone can find it please post. I have been trying to find it all morning and can't. The song might have been cancelled along the way. I can't imagine that song would be acceptable with today's high standards and practices.

 

I don’t think it comes down to a coach anymore. With FA and salary caps, I think it’s up to whoever manages the money. It’s hard to keep all your best players happy. Of course Bellychuck is the exception but then, he had the luckiest man alive as his QB.

 

Why can't Andy Reid continue to coach?

So in looking at this list, assuming 4 is the standard, I would say the two coaches that have a shot are Sean McVay and Andy Reid. McVay because of his age, and Reid because of Mahomes.

Well maybe McVay is who we should be looking at as our next coach. Reid is getting up there in age. The NFL has grueling schedule and he has already suffered some form of a heart attack. I agree that FA has altered the landscape and maybe those dynasties are more difficult to establish and maintain. That was the premise for my original post. I just wonder how best to analyze the current state of the NFL and produce another multiple sb winning streak.
