What team was the worst/weakest to make a Super Bowl? San Diego with Stan Humphries?

I think a few teams have made a SB that weren't awesome, but they were good when they needed to be, but I don't know of a weak team that actually won a SB...
You win a SB....Your teams pretty dang good IMO

Off the top of my head, Pats against 86 Bears. Never stood a chance.

The 1979 Rams were 9-7 and beat a team in the NFCCG that was in its 4th year as an expansion team in Tampa Bay. The Rams were even leading the Steelers going into the 4th quarter.

I read this and wondered what ever happened to Vince Ferragamo. That SB took place when I was in Germany and a lot of the LA fans were convinced he was the next big thing. He pretty much nose dived, but had a career comparable QB rating to Bubby Brister, 'nuff said lmao.

When the third qtr. ended the Rams were so pumped. I remember my family looked at each other and said we are about to lose a Super Bowl. Mr. Bradshaw and company had a different idea.

IMO the team to win a SB with the worse QB were the Ravens. Trent Dilfer. I believe the Ravens got rid of him after that SB. To be fair he had a decent SB. Defense won that SB for Ravens.

When the Bills were losing 4 straight they were the best a weak AFC had to offer. My favorite SB play (minus Steelers) was Don Beebe catching a Cowboy who was doing the dance way before the endzone.

1989 broncos and 1994 chargers were not great too

I never felt like the Giants were great teams when they won it twice with Eli. They just played well enough when needed. Play those SB's 10 times and the Giants probably lose 7-8 of them.

The 2006 Bears with Rex Grossman. On paper, that team was great. They scored a lot of points and had a great defence, but I remember watching a lot of their games that season and I was never impressed. It just felt like a house of cards that was going to come crashing down at any point. I thought they had a lot of good players that were just barely propping up a flawed team with a very mediocre QB.
