I do find it funny before the games were played....the winners of SB tickets were a KC fan, and a Eagles fan. Not saying it's rigged....because If I believed that ...I wouldn't watch one second, but I do find it strange.

They are who they are whether they win or lose the SB. Nothing changes for us. They're still going to be a force for the next 10 years because of Mahomes

    I don't think that's the point.

The point is that since 2017, a Top 5 defense has not won, or even reached for that matter, the Super Bowl. In contrast a since 2017, it will be 5 out of 6 SB's won by a Top 5 offense and 9 of 12 teams being Top 5 teams and all 12 being Top 10 offenses. Meanwhile, 4 out of 12 of the SB teams were actually in the bottom half of the league in terms of defensive ranking.

Forget winning the championship with D. You can't even get to it without a good offense anymore and if the offense is good enough, it can overcome a mediocre defense. A good defense does not seem to be able to overcome a mediocre offense. Not anymore, at least.

So some were very minuscule but statistically you’re correct. Here are the only 3 in the past 10 years

    2017 eagles

    2014 pats

    2012 ravens

I don't argue with their fans cause they will beat my ass but when I point out the Eagles are in a weak NFC and had probably the second easiest run to the SB since 1985 "Da Bears" they agree but they say what you said, they didn't make those other teams suck. They can't help it the AFC drafted good QB's. And they didn't just win those games they crushed them where our beloved Steelers under similar circumstances would have us sweating balls with a minute to go.

I think the only NFC team that could have gave them a game wasn't even in the Playoffs. GB was coming on a bit.

Now Vegas has made them a 1.5 favorite at the moment. I'd like to say Vegas knows what it's doing but that 2.5 line on the NFCCG was the biggest joke I ever saw. Reason why me and a lot of guys I sent up to the Casino's made great money betting on the Eagles. My reason for the Eagles winning is odd. The city lost the World Series and The Soccer Championship (Some talking heads say Soccer will surpass the NHL 7-10 years from now) recently and I just can't see the city losing 3 sport Championships in 4 month period.

So headed to Casino to collect my EASY winnings. Want to let it ride but on who??????? At the moment Eagles are 1.5 favorites. Sadly, defense does not win in todays offence oriented NFL. I can't see KC's D having any success against the Eagles. You got about 500 bucks to blow, who would you put it on????? I really am more an AFC guy and do not know the NFC very well.

    Thanks for any info.

While stats don't dicatate it, alot of the past sb teams did have a good defense. Like the rams from last yr for example. Stats wise they didn't have a top defense but they clearly played like one down the stretch and dominated in the sb.

It will come down to whether Hurts makes mistakes as Mahomes has been there before. Eagles were struggling for quite some time against the 49ers who had no offense but the Chiefs don't have the 49ers defense. I still wouldn't bet against Mahomes. I just hope its a great game and not a blow out.

The crying about the refs last night here in Cincinnati is over the top. These Bengals fans have been losing their minds all day about the game being fixed. Joe Burrow just folded like a cheap lawn chair when he finally faced pressure. I've been saying for a long time that the way to beat Burrow is to stop the run and blitz him from every angle. He's great but he's not the way all the talking heads been slobbering all over him great.

Maybe Joe Burrow will trade in his girly pink suit and his little teddy bear sorry shirt for that outfit.

With an injured Mahomes the Chiefs don’t stand a chance. I doubt Mahomes finishes the game. Most people on here hate the Eagles so much it’s clouding their judgment. I don’t hate the Eagles or the Chiefs but this will be insanely lopsided. Most of the Chiefs weapons are hurt also.

He played and moved decently only one week since the injury. It's safe to bet that he will be much much healthier with 2 weeks until the next game.

Bad....was really expecting a good game
No kidding...pretty easy to defend against the 9'ers offense when everyone knows they're not going to throw the ball...a well coached middle of the pack college team could've done the same thing

He didn’t have to move much in that game. It got worse the longer the game went. The Eagles had 70 sacks. The pressure they bring compared to the Bengals isn’t the same. The Eagles injured 2 healthy QBs in one game. The odds of injuring a wounded QB are very high

How is the team with the best D in the SB usually the winners not the point???
I would Buy all the D doesn't matter if only the best offensive team in the SB ....usually won the SB....but most of the time it's the team with the best D in the SB...that wins the SB. I'm not trying to argue....My friend....I'm just discussing.

Those 2 healthy quarterbacks don't have the skills that Mahomes has when it comes to getting rid of the ball under pressure. Those 2 healthy quarterbacks combined don't measure up to what Mahomes can do

Agreed. I don't like it, but Mahomes when healthy is the Best Qb in the NFL right now.

That's literally the way to beat every QB. Without both a running game and protection from the Oline, there's not a QB on earth that will do squat. Just look at the year Mahomes lost to TB. He had no time to do anything.

Hate Burrow all you want. Hate the Bengals all you want, I'm right there with you. But nobody can say Burrow isn't a top QB in this league. There's no secret to shutting him down that doesn't also apply to every other QB in the league. He's going to be a pain in our ass for many years to come because he's easily top 3 in this league, and I would say top 2.

No. But he's clearly the best player. We're watching Michael jordan in his prime where one is just levels ahead of the rest.
