Are not getting what they are paying high dollars for and worst yet neither are the fans. That goes from the coaching staff down to the players and they better fix it quick or it will be awhile until this team starts to gel again and be a contender for the playoffs and a 7th ring SB. This is not Steeler football we are watching and if we as fans can see that, I hope the front office can as well.

If the front office acted the way we fans do, we would be the Raiders, how many coaches and bad personnel moves have they made??

Art and Dan should be having a talk with Tomlin and remind him of their expectations and maybe Mike can pass that chat down and get the message across ... but I fear it is to late considering the current injuries sustained in the loss to the lowly Chargers we now have ourselves backed into a corner I doubt Mike Tyson could fight his way out of

They are contenders for the playoffs anyway. We'll see what happens when the "new" season starts.

I get the impression that while Art is cut from the family mold, he also has some very different ideas about how certain aspects of the team should be handled. SO while I don't think he is the type to fire Tomlin after an up and down season I do think he will have more input into personnel, coaching and so on than I think Dan had in the last few years. Does anyone else get that feeling?

Well, he already has, he forced the BA move. However I don't see him wavering so much from the family philosophy of stabilty at the head coaching position. The upheaval over Tomlin is amusing, people are acting like Cowher and Noll never had disappointing seasons.

Art II is nothing like his daddy, his daddy was more patient
like the chief. Art II is all business baby, RESULTS COUNT!
He wants to see a certain product on the field, if he doesn't see
that product, you better believe someone is going to hear about it.

Poor coaching staff...poor conditioning.. a carousel of damaged bodies and a hand full of spoiled players!

No rocket science here!! FIX IT and we will be contenders of old.

In the last 10 years, we have had one losing season. (2003). Some teams wish they were that lucky.

people are assuming that the Rooneys are unhappy with Tomlin. you know what happens when you assume.

Tomlin is not embarrassing the team. hes not saying stupid stuff. his team is under performing and some of that falls on him and his staff, but i cant remember seeing him drop a pass or miss a tackle or be called for a special teams penalty.

Tomlin isnt going anywhere and the sooner some of you guys come to terms with that you will be much happier. the guy has been to 2 super bowls since he has been there. they do have a standard in Pittsburgh and so far his teams have lived up to that. they are having a tough season and a lot of that came be put on all the injuries they have had.

im not sure what you guys want to see him do. do you want him to come out and just verbally kill his team through the media just so we can all feel like he cares? should he grab hi s players on the sideline by the face mask and belittle them for all to see? should he just start benching guys that are under performing and chance losing his team? by the way if he did bench the guys that were under performing we wouldnt recognize half the guys that would be on the field.

for as bad as this season has been. the last time i checked they are still in a very good position to make the playoffs. they control their own destiny. they win and they are in.

I've asked several times, no one answers, I wish they would because I'd like to know this magical answer that Tomlin should try to get the guys to listen and play smarter football. He's tried just about everything else, so please, someone enlighten us?

Obviously Tomlin has some areas to improve on, shouldn't be surprising, he's a young coach but the brunt of this falls on the players.

I can't speak for any one else on the subject guys but here is my two cents. Do I want him to use the media or to be cussing and jawing out his guys on the sideline? No because I don't think it is his style, he is too much like Tony Dungy on that regard. What I would like to see is more indications that he is bothered by team/players performance and see them address that such as what happened after the Browns game. You could tell he was visibly upset and he made some decisions based on what he saw for good or for bad he made them. I am tired of the platitudes, "we don't live in our fears." "We own up to that" " we didn't play sound fundamental football" if that is the case then don't just say it, go out and change it. If fundamentals are lacking simplify the game plan and hammer home the fundamentals all week in practice. If he feels that Ben and his receivers aren't on the same page, I wanna hear reports all week about them taking an hour or two after each practice just running the same 5 and 10 yard hitch plays to it becomes muscle memory. If the RB's have fumbleitis I wanna hear from the media that they spent time each day just running drills and having every guy out there trying to knock the ball free. So in nutshell enough talk show some action.

Right now they are 6th, last I check the record show more wins than lost. Lastly the division is not settle so unless you have some power please tell me why we are not contender. Nevermind Mike Tomlin he did not motivate his team with a speech, he didn't run for 100 yards, he did throw for 400 yards like Brady and Belicheat, and didnt catch the football that hit him between the numbers lol. Some people I believe just look for all the negative post to reply. I understand the passion for the game but d****. Question to all the top negative posted have you every played fantasy football and every year you are perfect? Last I check the NFL has been around for many years and we only have one count them one team to ever go perfect and one team to have 6 superbowls and been in 8 (Four for Chuck, 2 for Bill, 2 for Tomlin) and we only had Three coaches d***** I will say the Rooney's are great.

lol, believe it or not, I thought of that, so worded it the way I did to make sure all new it was the FO and owner I was referring too :lolol:

Yeah, Raiders are a thorn in our sides for sure, I was just a kid in the 70's, you're older then I am, I'm sure you can appreciate that rivalry even more then myself.

Last time I checked we have 6 items call Lombardi's and no one else does. I trust the leadership to make the right decision whatever it is. I love the Rooney's and their non knee-jerk reactions. Yes at times it might be frustrating but would you rather have Jerry Jones who ran out the best coach at the time in the middle of a blooming dynasty? Would you rather have Dan Snyder who signs every big name free agent? How about the mess with the Raiders...

This year has been frustrating but a win and things are moving in the right direction...

I was 30 years old in 1974 and can and did appreciate the rivalry with that sorry bunch of azzholes called the Raiders. I hated everything associated with them, including fatazz Madden, and still do. They got us a couple of times but we won that war overall without a doubt. Thats why the old school Raiders and fans probably hate us as much or more than we hate them.
I never thought I could dislike any team as much as the Raiders but then along came Baltimore. The feelings I have for them are pretty close to the way I feel about the Raiders.

Somewhere in the isolated lonely memory bank of the Rooneys, the 4th quarter nearly empty Heinz Field with the Steelers still in contention for a playoff spot will be logged and hopefully forgotten about. Maybe they are trying to put it into the Time to Unleash Hell file to see if it's active yet.
