Reasonable expectation for next playoff win?

Or what if they win it all and their older brothers don’t!

 

Not liking our chances for a playoff victory anytime soon. It is so competitive and there are certain positions that you have to dominate to be a competitive team and we are not dominate at some of those positions and then you have to have a certain element of luck to win today in the playoffs if you get there!

When is the last time the Steelers went at least 7 years between playoff wins? It has to be sometime in the 60's.

Not. Actually looking forward to 2023 season.

 

I’m thinking 2026. I project KP to have a career similar to Mariota, where maybe he wins one playoff game, but not likely, then the team decides to move on from him.

 

If steelers don't move on from Canada/Edmunds/Bush, they'll never move on from KP.

All KP has to do is show improvement in his final year and they'll keep extending him.

 

Meanwhile Zac Taylor has 4 in 12 months

with a good offseason improving LT, DT, and ILB we should have enough talent to make a run.

I just don't have much faith in our coaching staff, particularly Canada, but i'm not all that confident in Tomlin or Austin either. I think these better coaching staffs in the playoffs are so preparation and scheme oriented and that doesn't seem to be our strength.

So i hope next year, i expect at least within two.

 

Me neither. I get it, but I don't like it. I hate pushing dead money forward year after year. It eventually handicaps the GM just when a big signing could put you over the top.

Get right with the cap and stay right with the cap. I'd rather see the big cap hits immediately (when possible) with reduced hits the rest of the contract.
