Purdy looks real good but you can't compare Purdy playing on a good overall team that is coached well unlike Pickett playing on a below average team coached by clowns. I think Pickett plays lights out on that 49ers team

I thought the Miami rookie played well also given the circumstances. But the Daniel Jones turnaround has been remarkable this season, they brought the OC from the Chiefs staff as pater of the new Giants coaching staff.

This is very true. Rooney said years ago that if it wasn’t for the NFL salary cap and revenue sharing there is no way they could compete in a market the size of Pittsburgh.

Sometimes it easier to play with no expectations. Make a mistake oh well he was the last pick. Pickett sneezes wrong and half media and fan base are all over him because he was the first qb selected.

True but it has nothing to do with the peanut proportion coaches cost

Without revenue sharing they could not make the payroll

Without the cap they would loose top FA

Probably most don't get what McDaniel got, but it can add up

Who is the highest paid NFL coordinator?
Until six months ago, the title for highest-paid coordinator belonged to Josh McDaniels with the New England Patriots. McDaniels signed a five-year deal back in 2018 with an annual salary that reportedly worked up to $4 million, putting him on par with some head coaches.

It all factors in. Any business owner will tell you that the business needs to be self sustaining. Pulling money from other businesses you own or personal savings to cover expenses of another business’ operating expenses is just poor practice.

All you all keep using is wins.if we wanna go by that then Trent dilfer is> Marino since Marino never won a sb. I'm strictly talking about who played better. Not team accomplishments. There's a reason despite Jimmy g doing all that they mortgaged the future for someone else.

Because that's why I think Purdy has looked better. He's made the more explosive and big plays happen. I'm not saying Jimmy g wasn't looking good cause he looked good not just this yr the last few years and yet the 49ers felt the need to try to mortgage for trey Lance and even started him this yr after Jimmy g nearly took them to the sb again. Because theirs limitations on the big plays and making THE play you may need to win the game. Purdy rn looks like if they put the ball in his hands they can trust to make a play to win the game which they knew they couldn't so with Jimmy g. He looks to be more than just a game manager. Somewhat similar to the chiefs going with mahomes over Alex smith(of course not comparing the talent disparity but just the situations) due to limitations on the explosiveness of the offense.

Purdy though has a strong arm.

You all ignored Alex Smith. He had arguably more weapons than mbaome shell the weapons he had that last yr in kc are far better than what mahomes currently has and mahomes is putting up jumpers Alex never came close to. Why is that if the system, playcalling, talent, 3 and 4th receivers dictates so much on how good a qb is?

Hell, there's dudes on this board who thought Pickett was a bust just a few games into his career. Imagine what they would have done with Daniel Jones.

I put this in the Playoff thread...what a new OC could do for Daniel this season...

I'm surprised how the Giants coach turned Daniel Jones around, considering he came out from the defensive side of football. But I see Giants OC Mike Kafka came out of Andy Reid head coaching

    DAB.

    But here you go.

English is my second language... maybe I don't understand properly what it means to say "to think that PA is this simple thing that can just be throw in during the season is asinine". Does it mean PA is too complex, or something else?

WTF are you talking about? I didn’t say anything about Alex Smith or Mahomes, or the KC system or weapons.
