Even though we did not win we still lost no ground thanks to the help we got...Troy is looking a lot better and was making more plays...Ben looked to be very mobile and he seemed to have good Arm strength....The DB'S got some in game work and that's the only way these young guys will get better..Plax made a very nice grab that could get him some more PT...The OL actually made a hole or 2 after Colon went out,him not starting the rest of the regular season is a plus IMO..

The Chargers played a great game by far their best of the year IMO...I actually think the players for them have rallied around their Coach and they will win out IMO....

We still have time to elevate our level of play we still conrtol our own destiny,we used up our Mulligan today and now we must go all out....

The bottom line is we came out a little soft and the Chargers came to win,we must become the killer instinct Team and come out with full Emotion from the start...

Anyway if we had to have a crappy game this was the best time to do so...I still have high hopes for this season ,keep the faith next week we will all feel a lot better than we do now....

Well said, PWP. I might not always agree with your analyses, but in this case you are absolutely spot on.

Just to add another glass half full point about the DBs: I think we all noticed Brown and Victorian messing things up. But I wasn't noticing Keenan Lewis or Cortez Allen so much. They are growing into their roles.

Hey - we've still got one more loss left in us - if we beat the Bengals and win one of the other two games, we're in as the 6th seed.

I like the Postive Post. We didn't beat the Ravens, Gaints, and Bengals, because we sucked. This team can do things right, they just have to make sure that they aren't their own worst enemy, and bottom line they just have to play better. The season will do one of two things, either go up, or we nose dive.

Im trying to see things this way, too, but do we really want to depend on other teams blowing it? I just cant believe we failed to show up, AGAIN, for such an important game. :frustrated:

Agree with everything with the exception the OL made a hole or 2. I didn't see that and actually thought we got worse. Third and 1, Fourth and 1, ? They were getting pushed around. You are right on with the DB's, we are going to miss Ike. We are going to have to give help with our safety's over the top to Ike's replacements number 28, 31, or 35 who ever is in there. The problem with this is that on passing downs 2 of the 3 will be in there and they will get picked apart like they did yesterday.

One more bit of perspective - last season, the Giants were blown up at home in week 15 by the Rex Grossman-led Redskins to fall to 7-7, and in serious doubt of making the post season. They lost that game 23-10, and were actually down 23-3 until they put up a garbage time TD in the final 2 minutes. Their season turned out OK.

What's the similarity? Both teams are recent champions who have been there and know what to do to win big games when it counts. Both teams know how to handle a setback like the blowout that we just witnessed without it affecting their confidence the next week. Will we be fine? Tough to say. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if we win out, and then go on a post season tear and win it all. I also wouldn't be surprised if we stagger to an 8-8 finish. This team is maddeningly inconsistent. The sky is the limit, but mediocrity is well within our grasp as well. In other words, I see the water in the cup as being EXACTLY at the half way mark. Both half full and half empty. One thing for sure, these next few weeks should make a few more gray hairs.
