Exactly. This isn't the same Steelers team that got smacked by the Bills earlier. This isn't the same Bills team either. Steelers would have been competitive IMO.

Actually it's not as difficult as you might think. I was watching the other games and missed the injury. You can usually tell by mechanism, and especially if the leg pulls forward when the trainer yanks on it in a flexed position. The ACL basically keeps the leg in place and it's usually pretty clear when it's unstable. It's called the anterior drawer sign.

I dont think it’s that crazy to say that the Steelers could give the Bills a difficult afternoon. The Bills are not blowing teams away right now and don’t look as formidable as they have been at times in the past two years.

A couple of takeaways and maybe a defensive score and the Steelers could be right there with the Bills, they’d have a punchers chance at least IMO

We are driving ourselves nuts with this, but even with a night to sleep on it, I still see it that way, too. The Bills lost Von Miller for the season. That defense isn't the same without him. At the risk of sounding insensitive, Hamlin was a backup pressed into a starting role due to injury, but not having him out there also hurts that defense. The Steelers are a much better offensive team than they were Week 5. That was Pickett's first start and they had him attempting over 50 passes because they got down early and the running game was nonexistent. The running game is much better now. Harris is healthy. The offensive line got better. Pickett got better. The only major downside is they likely wouldn't have had Freiermuth. (That knee injury looked bad.)

The defense is much better, too. Watt finally started to look like himself the last couple of weeks. The secondary is making big plays. Losing Witherspoon was addition by subtraction. I still think Allen would be the difference in favor of the Bills, but he does have a habit of throwing red zone interceptions. Even the Steelers got one Week 5 by Wallace. If they could force a couple of turnovers, the Steelers could have stayed in the game.

Sadly, they didn't take care of business against the Patriots, Jets, and Dolphins, so we'll never know.

No way you can determine the extent of an injury by watching a trainer on TV

That being said hopefully he didn’t tear his ACL because that means he’s out all of next year.

I'm so tired of hearing about how smart Dobbs is because he has an Aerospace Engineering degree. I've been in the industry for 32 years and seen some people with the same degree that I wouldn't trust to change a bicycle chain.

We would have a chance. I was looking forward to it. Wasn't expecting to be embarrassed. A few weeks ago - different story.

We had better rosters than the Jets and the Patriots.

They probably would have given the Bills a better game then the Dolphins I agree but unfortunately we will never know. That’s what happens when you rely on Joe Flacco and a **** Jets team to win you a game to get in the playoffs. They didn’t earn it and they didn’t deserve it. You can’t make a living on trying to get in the playoffs the last week of the season where you need 25 different things to happen. It worked for them last year luckily it didn’t fall into place this year. Hearing Tomlin say they are a team on the rise makes me think he thinks they are fine and no changes need to be made.

While I always want to see my teams advance to the playoffs, I'm quite happy with how things ended and how the team looks going forward. I didn't want to see them go to Buffalo and get crushed again. That may or may not have happened....just how I was feeling. :)

I know a guy that got an aerospace engineering degree from Notre Dame, but worked as a carpenter. Don’t get me wrong there’s nothing wrong with being a carpenter, but he was a crappy carpenter.

I think the Steelers would of given the Bills a better game than the Dolphins are going too (even if Tua plays)

The Steelers would of played much better than their 35-3 beat down earlier in the year to them.

But, as far as beating them I don't think it would of happened.

I see only 3 teams winning the AFC its gonna be KC, Buffalo or Cincy. You can throw away the other 4 teams chances of going to the Super Bowl.

The only co-worker I ever had with an aerospace engineering degree was very intelligent and could discuss any subject at hand with great insight but he was a lousy employee. He was always late for work, complaining about everything and did as little as possible to keep his job.

That isn't necessarily true, but he certainly would miss a big chunk of the season and he probably wouldn't be fully back to himself until 2024.

Steeler fans are delusional. This team is not ready to run with the big dogs in the AFC.

Ya... To me, it's in 2024 where they can compete with the big dogs, the earliest.

In 2023, being competitive in a wild card game is realistic to me.

I think a win would have been very unlikely, but I would have liked our chances to make them sweat out a win by single digits.
