Did Canada do enough?

Been reading and listening to alot of talk about him doing enough to keep his job.. I personally have seen enough and think moving on from him is the right move to make..I believe he's a below average playcaller.
I also believe this offense has enough young talent to grow together with a coordinator who plays to the teams talent..We are the jet sweep kings...We used to be the wide receiver screen kings...How have we not designed some plays to have both backs on the field at the same time....How have we not designed plays to specifically get Pickens the ball...Conner Hayward was way under used...He's made plays every time he's on the field..Historically low points per game...I could go on and on....Really hope they make a change!! Thoughts.....

I’d imagine he’ll at least be here till his contract is up. Does anyone actually know when that is though?

 

I think we should extend him for another 10 years. Can’t let a guy like that just walk away to a competitor

Agree....Kenny's a rookie who played half the season..He's not going to ultimately determine Canada's fate

 

I also would move on from him, but I distinctly remember people wanting Haley to be fired for some time and he ended up being good for us. I am not sure he did enough to keep his job, but I also think we are going to keep him around. I don't think the Steelers will fire him. Its a weird position to be in, but here we are lol

I was the biggest Canada hater on this board...just go back all the way to last year...
Although We did run some plays with both backs on the field....not a lot , but We did run some.
I really now ....I'm on the fence about it. It's funny because .....like I said....I was the 1st I know that actually couldn't stand the guy.

Just no flow to how he calls the game...No desperation until they're playing from behind....No play action even when you're running the ball down someone's throat...feel like so many little things

 

What exactly did we win with Haley as OC?

 

If Pickett is good with Canada... So be it. OC is not the problem. It's lack of experience on the OL and a defensive line and ILBs who are not consistent.

 

Haley had some serious talent on offense too....but the defense got old and fell apart

 

We also need a #1 caliber CB.

 

Agree with the dline and backers, but basically what you're saying is if you have a vet online it doesn't matter who coordinates your offense?? Gotta disagree

 

I cant imagine Kenny saying any thing negative abought Canada , I read earlier Pickett Said Canada has given him more freedom in the offense, Also Najee and other players were supporting Canada, ...Steelers need to go find a experienced proven OC and bring him in .

 

61 games in 6 years. 3 AFC North titles, 3 playoff games. He was the OC the last time the Steelers won a playoff game. We've only won 1 AFC North since his departure, and that was an embarrassing first round exit to Baker Mayfield and our AFC North rival Browns.

I get where you're going with this tho, and its a ridiculous notion. He was a good OC. Not all good coaches/coordinators/players win SB's, its a team game.
