I don't know but it's my rally cry. Anybody wants to join in they're more than welcome.

DJ is a below average WR1 due to the drops and lack of TDs. He's a very good WR2 though. If he cleans up the drops he could become an average to above average WR1.

But it's irrelevant since Pickens is already our WR1.

Yuck, don’t put that bad mojo on him. My buddy called him one-hand touch cause he’d go down at the slightest contact

Very poor season for DJ but he is better than this and will be fine in the long run. The passing offence has been among the worst in the league and the offence really had no identity or cohesion for a good part of the season. He absolutely has let himself down at times but there are reasons he is struggling as well.

Hopefully they get a real NFL OC in the building over the offseason and improve the offensive line and pass protection. The Pickens / DJ duo could be really really good in time if they hit on a way to get the best from them both.

Man he smoked that DB off the line on the two-pointer. Was a thing of beauty

I wish the Steelers would stop drafting smurf WRs. It just doesn't work out most of the time, for any team.

    That's 2 that worked out...out of 100 that didn't?

Just on the Steelers alone...Dri Archer, Chris Raney, Ryan Switzer, Stefan Logan

It's not even close. His stutter steps, hesitations, and quick moves are something else.

Or at least not in the first few rounds. Seems to me like you can find those quick undersized guys in later rounds or even free agency.

In the right system though, man they can be hell on LBs with those little choice routes. Between Welker and Edelman I think Tom Brady never faced worse than 2nd & 4 for fifteen years

Depends on what you consider short. Hines Ward, Lynn Swann nd Lance Alworth are all 6'. Charlie joiner, 5' 11" Julian Edelman, 5' 10" Troy Brown, 5' 10" Deion Branch, 5' 9". You can do the research as well as I can.

Then he curls backwards if he catches it. When he does catch it. Hopefully he is not coached up at the end of the season by Dwight Stone again.

I agree he is a solid route runner. He is not a complete receiver. I feel Pickens will become the complete package and will be the #1 next year. The kid is a freak.

That said i'm sure he is going to have to be critiqued by the coaches in the exit meetings. He is signed through the 2024 season.

And for those who wish to cut him it comes with a dead cap hit of 19,666.667 for the 2023 season. Goes down to 5.833.334 in 2024.

DJ will work on it and come back better next season.

We need a guy that can get open at will, and he is that guy right now.

Pickens is a rookie on a rookie deal, skies the limit for him.

Canada’s route concepts did him no favors to be honest. Hopefully if he’s replaced we will get an OC that will scheme for DJs skills and “short area quicks”

Just to get a running total here, you want Boz cut because too much money, you want DJ cut because too much money, I think you were complaining about Watt making too much money for low production and you want playoff victories with what I'm assuming will be bargain bin players because you place money and performance in the same category. Is that about right?

It would appear likely with our arm chair GM's. Draft talent, develop talent, cut talent then draft more, rinse and repeat.

Johnson is frustrating. You think he is good then he fumbles, then later you think he is good so he gets a celebration penalty. Then you think he is good and runs backwards and losses the first down. A good coach could turn this guy into a decent WR but….

GP can learn the routes, DJ has proven he can't unlearn whatever is messing him up.
