i mean yeah going to the SB and losing to the packers was disappointing to get so close to #7 and lose but at least it was a great year.. great 18 weeks of football... a team to be proud of... a team that gave it all and just got beat... but with the draft or DD and adams... and the hope of a running game.. and then we get this.. no O.... DD hasnt palyed a snap all season... adams hurt half the year.. 3rd round pick .. never played a snap.... we thought we had a killer draft.. and maybe we will.. but up to now we have rainey returning kicks from the draft.. just a disappointing season and to see the ravens and maybe bengals in the playoffs makes me puke...

They all bleed together because they've been ending up around the same way.

The last few seasons have had similar feels to them under Tomlin.

They bleed together because they all end in disappointing failure.

Yes, it's called the 2009 season. That season went almost the exact same way this one has. We beat good teams, lost to bad teams, and when we had to win to make it into the playoffs we didn't.

Then there's losing to Tebow in the playoffs

Then there's losing to GB in the SB. We played terrible and still were in the position to win the game... that's what's hard to stomach.

I made this point in the game day thread, been a very disappointing and unenjoyable season to watch. We'll see how we bounce back from this loss though, see what we are made of because of all the losses this year, this is the worst and most embarrassing. Believe it or not, they are still in the hunt so we'll see how they respond.

Honestly the biggest reason the past few years is injuries. The second is the complete lack of discipline causing untimely penalties.

To add to the injury thing, I think how they've managed injuries has been terrible. How many key players have we had try to come back to early and re injure themselves. Off the top of my head Ben, Troy, and Pouncey comes to mind.

I can't blame it on injuries. Everyone has injuries.
We just came out flat. Ben has been out for the three weeks and it showed.

Yes everyone has injuries but the steelers have been hurt extra hard especially along the o line. Reminds me of the Bengals luck of a few years ago.

But look at the Chargers, they had one olineman starter the entire game and we did not get any pressure on the quarterback.

Plus our olineman has played so much over the years, the backups are considered starters in my book.

Legursky, Adams, Beechum all have gotten quality snaps.

That's partially to show just how much of an issue we have with the O-line and also how much of a problem we have with getting pressure. This team is absolutely horrible at getting pressure or creating turnovers. That used to be the signature of this defense. Nobody is afraid of us anymore.

I would say the most disappointing losses of recent memory are some of the losses to the Raiders we have hard while Ben has been on the team. I can't remember if he has started all of them. But Raiders have not been good for years and we should not have lost those games...
