Nice. Just think what his numbers would be if he had a real oc. I don't believe he was targeted once during the Carolina game?

 

He wasn't 100 percent for that game. They also went with a run-heavy game plan. That meant Gentry was often the only tight end on the field. Also, the Panthers just couldn't cover Johnson, so the Steelers attacked that matchup much of the time. I get the frustration with them ignoring one of their key offensive weapons, but really, they didn't need him that day.

 

Fair point, but I also think limited route trees arent helping either.

 

Don't forget he missed some time with concussions. Not trying
to protect /stick up for anybody. With 2 very good Wr's and RB that can receive
there is only so many footballs to go around. I would like
to see Pat work on his blocking over the off season.
