Jets lose in Seattle and win in Miami
Dolphins lose last 2 games in New England and at home vs Jets
Pats win vs Dolphins,lose in Buffalo
Chargers lose their last 3 games(Colts,Rams and Broncos)

Agree. They've already ruined their chance at getting Kenny Picketts replacement, if they keep winning it's going to prevent them from getting a good OL.

I'd take it - HIGHLY unlikely, but I'd love to see us play in the playoffs. Get Kenny that experience in Yr 1....

It would be great for Him to get the playoff experience no matter what happens. There is a reason no rookie has ever Won a SB. Playoffs are another step in competition, and the quicker He sees it .....the better. IMO

These idiots pouting about draft spots being lost with every victory the Steelers have while they are still not eliminated from the playoffs are some of the worst fans I've ever heard of. Their fandom sucks so bad that maybe they should just follow what ever team shows up at the #1 spot on the weekly Power Rankings. It sounds like that's the only way they will ever be happy. Made me think of my friends back in my college days who just like drafting teams in madden and never actually playing the game.

 

I'm all making the playoffs, and getting this young offense another week+ of practice and game reps.

Russell Wilson was awful today again the Rams, their defense will likely need to win the game for the Broncos

 

The toughest one will be other then the Steelers taking care of their own business will be the Jets winning in Miami against the Dolphins the last week and having the Dolphins drop 6 straight games to close out the year. I think the other games needed are very possible. I think Seattle can beat the Jets in Seattle, the Patriots can beat the Dolphins in New England, and the Bills can beat the Patriots in Buffalo the final week especially if they are still playing for the number 1 seed which they most likely will be. We will see what happens with the Chargers and Colts tonight and if the Chargers lose that game it opens up even more scenarios with the Chargers involved losing their last 2 games with the Steelers having a chance to still get in that way.

But right now assuming the Steelers can win in Baltimore on Sunday night which is still gonna be no easy task whether Lamar Jackson plays or not I think the Steelers will get the help they need this week to give them a shot of still making it in going into the last week of the season.

 

Those crying about Pickett best get a large crying towel. That laser to seal the deal to Pickens was a thing of beauty. Add the passes to Freiermuth. The kid will be fine. He is our Field General for the foreseeable future.

Of course if they get to the playoffs who isn't going to watch? As far as it being a miracle, yes your right.

Anything can happen. But they need help.

 

There are no meaningless games for a team trying to build a young offense around a rookie QB. The fact that there's a sliver of hope for the playoffs keeps a little added pressure on Pickett and the rest of the team. That's what you want. Seeing how he responds is the key to what their future looks like with him moving forward.

 

All those scenarios do not have to happen for the Steelers to make the playoffs. Only one of the Dolphins and Chargers must lose out and if all those other scenarios work out the Steelers would get in as the 7th seed.

 

The steelers need to have a better record that the pats and the jets to make the playoffs.....
