The win feels nice but Pickett really needs to throw downfield more often. I’m worried the early interceptions have made him gun shy.

It’s funny - early on Trubisky was the one being too conservative and Pickett was making the downfield throws. Now the roles have reversed. Everything seems to be a check down. Sometimes that’s the right play but Pickett is doing it too often.

But Franco stepped in from above. Ball left Carr's hand with 32 seconds left in the 4th. Ball was intercepted at the Steelers 32

One thing I would add is Robert Spillane came to play last night in a big way.

THAT is more a function of Canada’s offensive philosophy than Pickett’s doing. I think with a real OC next season we’ll see more downfield throws. There has to be a balance, but these third down throws behind the line to gain are ridiculous.

Or as some people say about our RBs....if Jacob would just stop dancing, and find the hole....we couldn't have stopped Him. LoL

Nice drive at the end to get in the EZ. But this offense is horrible. Play calling is a damn joke week after week. 3rd and 2 after runs on 1st and 2nd and they drop back for a pass. 3rd and 9 and the WRs run 3 yard routes. WTF?

Agreed. I kept joking that Heyward was the only guy who showed up to play in the first half, but really, Spillane was very good most of the night.

Overall, yeah, he misses too many tackles. Last night, however, he did a great job against the run.

    Too right.

    “Zach Gentry! Gentry! Gentry! Gentry!
    …. Sorry, Heyward.”

He did last night. Maybe He wasn't having to worry about Edmunds getting in the way. LoL
You know like when Edmunds chases the wrong guy, or goes to where the ball is not.

Holy cow this! Announcers never bother me and I frequently poke fun of people complaining about them, but that guy was terrible.
