    Our improved play is against the losers of the league. Good news is we just won the NFC South Division which has no team above a 6 wins. It has been nice to see a running game though. But to think this team is turning the corner or not in a complete rebuild due to a few wins against stiffs is out there in fantasyland. One question I do have is how many more wins would we have had if Ben came back this year.

    And if we won against teams with a winning record, you would be here saying how we can't beat a team with a winning record.

    Some of y'all cry regardless. It's inevitable.

    Oh and by the way, time to move on from big Ben..... but again, it's inevitable for some of y'all to not cry.

    Pretty pathetic; if you ask me, why some of y'all can't be happy about the success your team is having.

    Funny how YOU losers are quick to point out that their success is against the losers of the league, while simultaneously ignoring that their struggles came against some of the top teams in the league. You people are pathetic.

    In fact I'm convinced that some of y'all want to lose out if you don't see a highly successful team by week 6. Just so you can get a top five pick. Which technically tells the entire team you believe that a single player can turn the team around and that almost all of them suck.

    Because what you get in draft position with tanking. 5, 37, 69, 110,
    Without tanking you would be 15ish. So, 15, 45, 79, 120.
    Anything after the 4th round really is a pipe dream of success. So lets give rankings.
    A++ 0-10
    A+ 11-16
    B++ 32-42
    B+ 43-48
    C++ etc etc.
    You can either look at as you're losing a "+" in each round. Or that you're just missing out on a "++" at the start but then you're getting better picks than if you tanked.
    Regardless it's just for a single pick. And a single pick is not going to turn a season around.

    It's much better to go with what you have and have a great draft over all. Hence why for 50 seasons we have so many super bowls and rarely pick in the top ten or move up in the draft to the top ten...... if anything it should show you how important it is to have coaches.

    I literally posted the success rate of what to expect for any team every decade. And how successful we are in every decade, including even the previous decade. And still some of y'all cried. It's literally superbowl every 5 years or you're going to cry.

    I like our team and with a few tweaks, (these are major) and these players
    must produce immediately, barring injuries we will see a better brand of football next year.
    Just my opinion, the Steelers overpaid for #7 his last 6-8 years. He couldn't carry a team on his back like other HOF QB's have. And he had talent to go around. He was physically incapable
    and had so much god given talent that I think he thought that would be enough. And as we
    all seen it was not enough to get us over the top.

    2 OL a CB and ILB and we are poised to be much better

    At least one OL improvement can be found in FA

    With a 1 and two 2’s in the draft we can fill the other three spots if we don’t miss

    Do this again in 2024 and we could be back in contention

    A year ago I predicted 2024 and we seem to be heading that way

    Go Yinz Stiller’s n’ at

    Excided about the future. This season is a wash.

    Looking forward to see Khan and Weidl do their work to improve this team.

    Ben? He was done and it was time to move on.

    Mash, agree. Last time this org took a top 10 draft pick, how'd that turn out? So, to want to lose games in order to end up with someone like Bush, or most of the 1st rd picks of late, just makes no sense. I'd rather establish some momentum to carry into next year and the best way I think is to win and the players getting used to it. The downside is that we could continue to have the perpetual average seasons, and posts for regime change will continue. Let's see how this season pans out first. Winning helps all things get better. IF Ben were here, I think we'd be in the thick of it - UGLY but right there w 2 or 3 more wins. Losing TJ hurts significantly. We are right around .500 for a while, I think. D rebuild next year, Pickett growing and Cana-duh still here.

    I was just stating fact that the only team we beat with a winning record was the bengals week one when burrow was recovering from a surgery. The rest of our wins have been against losing teams . I think our team should have two more wins but we were outcoached or not ready for the games fro some reason. We should have beaten two of the three losses. Jets patriots and definitely the ravens. We are stuck in this cycle due our fearless cheerleader. God I hope the rumors are true he might leave

    Technically, the Bengals didn't have a winning record at the time.

    agreed

    hopeful, but hope is not a strategy. Will always love our Steelers.

    Disappointed in Rooney - and the Tomlin extension a yr or 2 ago. Ben and MT should have gone out together. 2 rebuilds, that will be coming, as my thread stated last week. We will wallow in mediocrity for a while. We have been a bit better than average for 10 years, well underachieved for many of those years. end of many seasons sucked, we under-performed in playoffs as favorites, should have been another SB or 2. Ben and Tomlin could not get it done.

    Tomlin ought not have been rewarded

    Rip the band aid off and prepare for the future.

    So we stick with Ben...and then what? He wins more games because he has been around for nearly 20 years and just has way more experience but, at some point, it's time to start over and rebuild. That's where this team is now. Improvement is what I wanted and it's what I am seeing so I am happy.

    Maybe one or two, but that's far from a sure thing. He really didn't have much left.

    They are a few plays here or there from winning two or three more games without him. I think the injuries early in the season had a bigger impact.

    *Sigh. Boring. And Wrong. This team isn't that far off. We are a stable franchise. We WILL compete for the AFCN Title next season. Period.
