I didn't have a problem with the hit. There was a facemask there but just barely. I'm fine with the no call

I agree with Tomlin on this one.

I had a problem with the hit and it was the leverage Smith got grabbing the face mask that allowed him to slam Pickett’s head into the ground causing the concussion.

I had a problem with Pickett not giving himself up and living to play another down. He needs to watch Brady tape as he’s a master at knowing when to say when. Has Brady ever had a concussion?

I had a problem with Dotson not knowing his assignment. Inexcusable and dumb at this level!

There is a proper time to address the issue. Getting fined does nothing or proves nothing.

I just wish the officiating was more consistent. Calls shouldn't be determined by the names on the backs of the jerseys. I have a hard time believing that this is not the case in the NFL.

Pickett nearly got away from Smith, too. He is mobile. Giving that up is surrendering part of his game.

I agree that his mobility is a strength, but he does need to keep in mind at times that this is the NFL and not the ACC. There are 270 pound grown men who are as fast as he is and a heckuva long stronger. He needs to use his mobility, no doubt. But he’s got to learn when there’s no getting away to throw the ball away or lay down and win the next down.

Ben Roethlisberger was with the MAC conference and says hold my beer.

I know Pickett isn't the same but he just has to play his style of game. Ben hated throwing the ball away. Kenny has already done that several times already this season. Probably ahead of the curve for a rookie actually.

Pickett got away from the first one... I'm sure he thought he could get away from the second one. Why do you think he should think he can't get away?

I know he’s a competitor and thinks he can get away from all 11 guys on the other side of the LOS, but he’s now had two concussions in 8 weeks. Not good. I appreciate his mobility, he just needs to be smart with his health or he may have a short career. Self preservation is important. Tom Brady is the master although he’s not nearly as mobile as Pickett. Franco Harris was another example. He used to get criticized for stepping out of bounds and avoiding contact, but it probably prolonged his career. Use your mobility where appropriate and protect yourself where appropriate.

When I heard him brush it off at the press conference, I thought that was odd, and then I asked myself, did he put a complaint into the office and just didn't want to talk about it publicly, but I think we would have heard something by now, if he did.

Steelers should just take some headshots at Lamar if he’s back. It’s not like they have anything to lose.

There is a play when Brady was young and rolled out and absolutely got destroyed (he manned up and got up from it right away) and I think he learned his lesson there. Fine line between trying to make something happen and hurting your team by getting hurt. Agree 100% as I was saying to myself go down as he stumbled because throwing it away was not an option at that point.

Maybe I missed it, but who pulled Kenny out after he went back in? He passed the protocol in the blue tent and was allowed to go back in the game, but who or what pulled him out of the game after the next series?

Did Tomlin? Did New York call and tell the Steelers to get Kenny out of the game? Or, did Kenny pull himself out?

Maybe I missed this somewhere in the news.

I don't think there has been any solid reporting on this. Another member of the board posted that he heard it was one of the concussion spotters, but I haven't seen that confirmed.

Tomlin said that Pickett was pulled when he showed symptoms, which was apparently after his first exam.

    Two different people.
Although I'm a huge fan of Ben's that was a weakness ,and a Strength IMO. If He had learned to get rid of the ball earlier...like He did later...it could have saved Him some injuries.

I heard on a site (which I can't find because I listen to so many) that it was the independent Guys that watch ....they suggested He be pulled.
I don't know this for a fact, but I do know for a fact that's what was said on that site.

Maybe he was walking around the field looking for the pigeons rather than calling a play

Funny they both could have the same problem. An OC that needed to be replace to save their careers.
