I don’t want to hear a word ever again from Mitch why he is not starter.

Were you at training camp? Kind of a coach's decision, no?
I get not throwing a rookie into the fire but, how bad is Mason if you trust your new toy to be trained by Mitch Trubisky??

Nobody dismissed physical talent, but it is what they have between the ears that sets the elite quarterbacks apart. That is why guys like Brady and Montana can be among the greatest ever despite not being the most talented guys of their eras.

I like Williams, but you are making a lot of assumptions about him and I'm not sure how relevant any of it is given that the guy won't even be available in the draft until 2024. What is your argument? That the Steelers should have known last April that Williams would emerge as an elite quarterback in 2022 and that they might get a shot at him in 2024? That's just silly.

Blaming Mitch entirely is as the article says, 'the easy way out'
    Yes, he was horrible.
But Austin's defense failed to crush a 3rd string QB that's never played a down but instead got trampled when they KNEW the run was all Baltimore had.

There's a lot of blame to go around.
But I never want to see Trubisky behind center again.
I don't care if they have to recruit S.T.D from the stands to play QB.

Yes Mitch was horrible and his 3 picks were the main reason we lost the game but another poor display of coaching preparation/adjustments for this Defense. How could you not stack the box and sell out to stop the run at all costs daring those QBs to beat you? Especially when Huntley got hurt is pathetic.

Andrew Walter, Mike Glennon, Brady Quinn, Tim Tebow, Terrell Pryor, Bruce Gradkowski, Ryan Mallet and now the most embarrassing loss of all Anthony Brown. Brown was playing in his first NFL game after being undrafted out of Oregon. Unbelievable.

There's a plethora of blame to go around. D giving up over 200 yards rushing and allowing the Ravens to run out the clock to end the game didn't help matters. This was a complete team loss. We lost in all 3 phases of the game.

Anybody seen this happen before? Losing to a team we should beat that has a POS QB at home? I was/am pissed off not so much it happened again, but the thought that there really isn't an end in sight. I was thinking how KP was progressing and expressed as much in the "I Am Starting To Believe" thread. Then that fateful scene as I am sitting in my usual bar stool having a brew and then yelling "oh hell no" for all to hear at the sight of Mitch warming up. I feel it is hard for this team to win and how easily things can go South (like a freaking 17-yard punt and blocked fg). We absolutely can't afford to help the opposition out. I'll still back them each time they take the field, but my expectations have been beaten to a pulp and know that the Standard will continue to be the Standard, until it isn't. JMO>

No I wasn't at training camp.....but I read every report by every single person covering it...., and I watched every single preseason game, and only one person ran with the ones every game. Therefore only one person really had a chance to start.....Trubisky.
Don't ever think pride.....no matter who the coaches, owners, and GMs are doesn't have something to do with it.
People will say what does that have anything to do with it.
Tell Me what it would have looked like if they spent that money....not only that .... , but took up a spot by bringing in Trubisky, and He didn't actually beat anyone on the team ....including a rookie???
Hell reports say the other rookie Qb they drafted only got 3 whole snaps the whole time He was here. LoL

Rudolph had years to prove he could be a viable option after Roethlisberger. He failed. He failed so miserably that the team signed a veteran and drafted a quarterback in the first round. They already had to swallow their pride by giving up on Rudolph.

If brady came up in this current nfl, he would not have been what he became. He benefited because he came into an NFL where you could be a game manager and still get by. The year before he started Trent dilfer won the sb thanks to the ravens defense. Great as the 2000 ravens were would be allt harder for them to do with that they did then in this day age due to primarily the rule changes and how dynamic these guys all around are. There's a reason everyone goes after the dual threat guys with talent in this nfl.

It isn't when what I say correlates with what the general consensus of the people that know what their talking about are saying.

I hope you didn't dislocate your shoulder with that reach. Now you want to claim that arguably the greatest quarterback in NFL history wouldn't be able to play today. Never mind that guys who aren't dual threats still get the chance to start in this league, in including New England's current starter.

He was good in a more limited role, throwing or fewer than 2,000 yards. He had not demonstrated that he was going to be an elite pro prospect yet.

Now if you want to produce a post of yours from before this season in which you claimed that he was going to be an elite quarterback in 2022 and potentially a high first-round pick in 2024, then maybe your point might be worth taking seriously.

Season was already torpedoed, he may have just burnt the life rafts

like I said before, pointless signing.
