this is kind of long but please I implore you as a football fan to stick with it and read it all , most you may know some you probably do not

if all the " new rules" of the past few years have not been bad enough on our beloved game of football , Roger Goodell is not done messing with the recipe that once made the perfect bowl of soup ...

    Player safety he says ....

no more shoulder or helmet to helmet blows will reduce concussions and other head and neck injuries we have head this to the point of nausea time and time again and what we have witnessed is a very small if any reduction in those sort of injuries after all its a game involving two moving targets and those sort of hits still happen to no fault of either party the defender or the offensive player it just is what it is , one is trying to get away the other trying to make sure he does not get away neither knowing what the other is going to do at any point in time they have a point of impact and the results are the results .... the defender is always to blame even if he is aiming for the ribs if the offensive player lowers his head and helmet to helmet contact happens the onus is on the defender and he pays via a penalty flag and a fine at the opening of Business by the league the following week .....

we all know how this crap works it is taking football out of football on the premise of player safety yet instead of reducing injuries we now see an increase in them , not are we getting roughly the same amount of head injuries but we are seeing a higher percentage if knee and rib injuries , those sorts of injuries do not take a star player out of the game for a week or two but many times 3-6 weeks or a season dependent upon how severe in fact knee injuries can be career ending but Goodell is far less concerned about a players knees and the fact of this all are clear as the harvest moon on an autumn night .... otherwise something would be done about cut blocks and chop blocks on D Linemen ..oh wait Defense does not sell tickets in most NFL cities so forget about the defensive players safety they are not a premium to this Goodell run league my bad ...

I know most of you are aware of this situation above and hopefully you are still with me here to get a load of what he has in store for us to come ....

Already in place for next season is a rule that will force all players to wear both thigh and knee pads. And one of the more prevalent talking points lately has centered on the dangers of kickoffs. Prior to the 2011 season, kickoffs were moved up to the 35-yard-line, drastically decreasing the number of returns attempted. If at least one NFL coach has his way, the league won’t stop there.
According to TIME, Goodell recently discussed with Rick McKay, Falcons president and head of the NFL’s competition committee, a radical rule change proposed by Tampa Bay coach Greg Schiano. Instead of a kickoff, the team that scored would then take the ball on its own 30-yard line in, essentially, a 4th-and-15 situation. In other words, they could attempt to keep their offense on the field and try to pick up 15 yards, at the risk of turning the ball over on downs; or they could punt.

again a rule change to be proposed to increase the potential offensive production and do away from the impact of playing solid def in the NFL ....

I know for a fact if a rule such as this happens in the NFL I will be one fan less they have , I will not sit and watch that sort of product or that sort of game ...

The NFL is comprised of 32 team and if these teams owners can not see how this will ruin the game as we know it then it is up to us fans of the game to boycott its product after all at the end of the day not cooperation is worth a dam financially if nobody buys the product they produce ... a boycott would have a rippled effect on the league like nothing else could it would essentially cripple them , no product sales , no seat sales , no vendor sales , no TV revenue ....

we all need to go to our personal form of social media and put up a stink about this the more fans that know of Goodells plans the more public outrage there will be and the more likely it will be spoken about in bigger arenas thus the more likely ownership will know of our disdain for what Goodell is doing to our game ..... I say our game because without us the fans they have no product the product is Football !
