Pickett opted out of Pitt's bowl game last year and it didn't bother them.

Speaking of brothers...I have seen a couple thing this morning about the Steelers possibly getting JJ Watt in the off season. I know he is past his prime, but that would be fun to watch.

We don't need nostalgia. We need playmakers.

Gota say, you are that guy. ;)
Why would I go there? This is Steelers talk. It's not COVID.
I have no interest in jumping back and forth across boards.
    Maybe it is just me.

I think the PSU tackle already said he's coming back to PSU for another year.

That's a very hard matchup however You slice it. I seen Him make fools of people that have been specifically brought in to stop Him.
Just in the last few games He(Travis)has made Derwin James(big fast safety), and Jaylen Ramsey(pretty big,and fast Cb) both look stupid.

A team with as many needs as we do, yeah a WR in the first might not be greatest idea. But, Harrison already looks pro ready. He is going to be a stud when he gets to the NFL.

    Very tough matchup.
I always was of the school of thought that if a TE is giving you trouble, you bash him into the line scrimmage every play.
Of course, you can't always do that.

    No freaking way.
1st . I don't think He is even coming out this year, and 2nd ....of course just My opinion, but there are way too many Wrs come out every year with talent......So never a need for taking one in the 1st round.
Also....and I will always stick with this......97% of Wrs are made by their Qbs. How many examples do people have to see of this.
Most ....not very good Qbs teams can draft 1st round Wrs year after year, and magically can't find a good one......Yet Good Qbs teams seem to find one in any round ......magically.

And if Patti didn't get hurt.

No I didn't mean it didn't bother the Panthers, I meant it had no bearing on the Steelers drafting him.

That surprised me, he would have been a 1st round pick. But good for him.

He has 6-1/2 sacks, but he would need to come cheap just to play with his brothers :smiley1:

I thought Cincinnati made a mistake drafting Jamar Chase instead of a LT in the top five, they hit a homerun, Chase is a stud.

from what I understand he’s talented and an athletic freak, but raw. Still a first rounder. But I bet if he cleans up his technique he might be the first tackle the following draft and get that big payday.

Yes He is a stud, but as Burrow has shown....even without Chase.....He has made the other targets look very good. Imagine if He had another great Oline man on that team right now.

Yes he's quite the player. But, I feel we have one in the making in George Pickens. He an intimidator. One that's presence will have to require attention. For years to come. Draft steal.

I have no idea if or how this stuff is played out in real time, but in the past if you declared for the draft early a lot of players were fed lines by agents and got stung when draft day came. They now have a system where you are given a likely composite where you might be drafted if you declare early. Add to this image and likeness deals and the transfer portal and these guys can (hopefully) make better decisions. Coming out early is not always the best choice..though you do risk injury..but making the right choice can mean not only higher draft choice (and better financial rewards), but better technique in the long term.
