Bo Jackson turns 60 today. Didn't matter he was never on a Pittsburgh sports team, the guy was amazing to watch at whatever he did, even TV commercials. Here's a nice article outlining some of his accomplishments. Even a graphic showing Jack Lambert. They say he tied a MLB record by hitting homers in 4 straight games but that's not true, Dale Long of the Pirates hit HRs in 8 straight games back in the late 50's which may still stand?

Mattingly and Griffey jr also have 8. Mike trout got 7 this year, but went 0-4 in the 8th game. There are several others with 7 as well

I pause that, and a few other scenes from that movie so much the VCR tape would mess up every time it got to those parts when I was a kid. LoL

My pregant wife and I were sitting in Row 2 inside the left field foul pole at Yankee Stadium. A home run shot came our way, my wife ducked, and all at once a glove game within a few feet of me and the missess. Bo Jackson had reached over the OF wall and made the catch.

He's the greatest all-around athlete I've seen in my lifetime. The 30 for 30 about him was amazing. I had no idea he was an avid outdoorsman. Loves to hunt and fish, especially archery hunting. He has a man cave where he builds his own arrows.

What I like about the guy is the confidence he had in his own ability. Not in a cocky show boating way, but more in a matter of fact, "I know what I'm capable of" manner.

LoL. Yeah .....No. I raised a wild Hog from a baby, and when it was full grown...It could have killed most people....if it wasn't so dang domesticated. It could bump You , and knock You over. While I'm not a huge person....I'm not a pushover either. You would alway have to watch His tusk while He was playing with You.
    So ....Yeah ....No. LoL

But secretly I'm digging it. :thumbs up: And it's not the Bo "nose" that we're all (OK some of us) tuned in to.

I've also heard that he could out kick and pass (for distance) pretty much anyone else who was getting paid to do those other feats.

I can't remember it verbatim, but the old saying about preparing carp for consumption goes something like this; "season to taste, nail to board, cook until golden brown, throw away carp and eat the board." There was a local old-timer that I had heard had a great recipe for pickling carp. Nah, I'll pass.

I know people that pressure cook gar, and then make patties out of them. Like You would can salmon. It's not bad, but way too much work. I hook gar only by accident, and then cut My line. LoL

515 rushing attempts. We were definitely cheated from some great moments. You felt like he had a great chance at 515 TDs.
